The Role:

Working within a busy warehousing team environment, I support the operations of the Logistics department by ensuring the correct handling and storage of goods in and goods out. My responsibilities include receiving supplier components and finished goods deliveries, verifying accuracy against delivery documents and checking for any discrepancies in quantity or quality. I handle and locate stock promptly and accurately, taking care to prevent damage during handling. Additionally, I dispatch components to production on time and in full (OTIF), following safe handling and loading procedures to avoid production downtime. I ensure that component issues comply with correct stock and batch rotation practices (FIFO) and also participate in regular stock-taking within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unloading / Loading vehicles
  • Competent in SAP warehouses processes.
  • Confirming Transfer Orders.
  • Consolidation of materials.
  • Maintaining warehouse record boards.
  • Picking Transfer Orders.
  • Stock rotation awareness.
  • Handling Returns from Production.
  • Cycle counting/ aisles check.
  • Physical sampling of received goods.
  • Management of goods-in paperwork.
  • Management of goods-in discrepancies.
  • Marshalling outbound loads.
  • Use of MHE (when trained to do so), hand Pallet Trucks, counterbalance, VNA, etc.
  • MHE basic maintenance (battery top-up / checks etc).

Personal Responsibilities

  • To adhere to Safety procedures and rules, and to produce appropriate quantity of error free work, accepting personal responsibility for assigned tasks.
  • To deputise for the Team Leader as required following relevant training.
  • To achieve KPI targets for self and team.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to follow instructions and SOP.
  • Numerate and literate.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Organised and methodical.

Education & Experience:

  • Valid MHE licence for all equipment desirable but non-essential as training can be provided.
  • Experience of working in a Warehouse environment.

Health & Safety:

  • To support safety as a top priority.
  • To ensure oneself and others is aware of, understands and follows all Company Health & Safety instructions.
  • To report any accidents or near misses to the Health & Safety Manager.
