Scent Booster Line Technician

Monday - Thursday - 5:00 PM - 3:00 AM

Starting Pay Rate - $24.49 + $0.50 shift differential for total of $24.99 per hour

Sign on Bonus - $1000

OBJECTIVES: Safely operate manufacturing equipment to produce quality products. Understand production requirements. Perform Autonomous Maintenance tasks to maintain equipment and work area. Work cooperatively with employees to fulfill all line responsibilities each shift.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate safety ownership by wearing required PPE and following LOTO procedures at all times. Report near miss safety incidents and conditions each month. Comply with all Plant Safety, ISO, OSHA procedures, and other programs.

  • Learn and demonstrate excellence in quality though first-time right production and documentation on assigned line(s).

  • Learn and complete autonomous maintenance activities on assigned equipment and actively submit work orders.

  • Understand rate, daily OEE, and production requirements.

  • Complete all machine operation training and assessments on assigned line and operate without supervision.

  • Learn and consistently complete all line tech responsibilities including but not limited to: 5S, line boards updated every shift, downtime tracking and participate in Tier meetings.

  • Maintain and demonstrate a positive attitude toward team members on all shifts, management, and plant processes/policies.

  • Actively engage in driving out losses using Lean methods. Suggests and participates in improvement Kaizen events/teams.

  • Strive for knowledge and skill to positively solve personnel and equipment issues. Work cooperatively with other Technicians and Coworkers.

  • Cross training on all department equipment is mandatory:

  • a. Line areas

  • i. Startup operation

  • ii. Shutdown operation

  • iii. Equipment Changeover

  • b. Forklift operation

  • c. Scent Booster processing operation

  • Obtain a working knowledge of and be able to demonstrate all SOPs applicable to processing.

  • Capable of batching all Salt batches with minimal supervision. Includes printing and following batching formulations.

  • Performs training for newly hired technicians as well as monitor the Proof of Knowledge process for mandated training. 14. Work overtime as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Arithmetic skills in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
without a calculator.
Must be able to read and understand English; Able to properly Fill out required forms in English; complete and understand “read & sign” training in English.

EXPERIENCE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENT
Prefer at least one years’ experience related to this position in high-speed manufacturing such as in the pharmaceutical, consumer products, food and/or medical device industry.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Must be able to follow instructions and exercise good judgment.
Must be able to use electrical and/or hand trucks, tools and all equipment safely.
Must have mechanical aptitude and understand machinery operation.
Must be able to work with minimal or no supervision.
Must be able to complete production reports and communicate effectively.
