Role Summary
The Vice President, Investor Relations (IR) & Communications will lead Church & Dwight’s investor relations and communications strategy, shaping a clear, consistent, and compelling company narrative for investors, analysts, media, employees, and other key stakeholders. Reporting to the CFO and partnering closely with the CEO, and CHRO, the Vice President, IR and Communications will communicate the company’s strategy, business performance, and value creation story; proactively and actively engage our sell and buy side investors; and develop and deliver a highly effective and complementary internal and external communications to enable clarity of messaging in support of the company’s objectives
Work Model: This a hybrid role, requiring in-person attendance at our Ewing, NJ office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and remote work options on Monday and Friday.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Investor Relations:
- Serve as the primary IR leader and trusted contact for investors, shareholders, and sell and buy-side analysts
- Effectively, share the compelling investment and long-term value creation story for Church & Dwight
- Lead the quarterly earnings process, including CEO/CFO scripts, press releases, Q&A preparations, and all post release engagements
- Creatively share business results, strategy, and operating performance into compelling investor messaging
- Execute targeted investor outreach to deepen shareholder engagement and attract additional long-term shareholders, with a specific emphasis on global reach
- In partnership with IR and business team members, deliver high-quality investor engagements (Annual Investor Days, Analyst conferences, NDRs Shareholder Meeting…)
- Provide the CEO, CFO, ELT, and Board with actionable insights on investor sentiment, analyst views, peer trends, and market expectations
- Maintain compliance with SEC requirements, Regulation FD, governance standards, and disclosure controls
Communications:
- Lead enterprise communications both external and internal to provide appropriate cadence and clarity of message.
- Oversee media relations, public relations, and proactive storytelling with media, investors, customers, consumers, and key stakeholders
- Lead internal communications that connect employees to company strategy, priorities, culture, leadership messages, and key organizational updates
- Lead crisis and issues communications with clear, timely, and coordinated messaging across internal and external audiences
- Showcase Church & Dwight’s brands, innovation, growth strategy, culture, and sustainability efforts through compelling communications
- Ensure a consistent, compelling company voice across financial communications, corporate announcements, media engagement, employee communications, and public affairs
Skills and Competencies
- Strong financial, capital markets, and business acumen
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect company strategy, operating performance, and investor expectations
- Exceptional executive presence and influencing skills
- Outstanding communication and storytelling capabilities
- Proven experience in reputation management, media relations, and crisis communications
- Ability to translate complex financial and operational information into compelling stakeholder messaging
- Strong relationship-building skills with investors, analysts, media, Board members, and senior executives
Education and Experience
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs, Finance, Equity Research, Investment Banking, or related fields
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CFA, CPA, or other advanced degree preferred
- Experience supporting CEOs, CFOs, and Boards of Directors within a publicly traded company
- Deep understanding of capital markets, financial reporting, investor engagement, and public company governance
- Experience in sell or buy-side equity research, investment banking, capital markets, or investor relations advisory
- Experience in an operating company leadership role such as Finance, FP&A, Strategy, Corporate Communications, Corporate Affairs, Commercial Finance, or Business Unit leadership preferred
- Consumer Packaged Goods or other branded consumer products experience preferred
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $248,000 – $325,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
As a Church & Dwight US employee, you (and eligible dependents, as applicable) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and Paid Parental Leave. U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
