Role Summary                                                          

The Buyer Planner II independently manages supply planning and procurement activities for assigned products, suppliers, and manufacturing locations. This role is responsible for balancing service, inventory, and supply continuity while partnering with Operations, Sales, Finance, and external suppliers. The Buyer Planner II proactively identifies risks, resolves routine supply issues, and drives execution of planning and procurement strategies within their assigned portfolio. This position serves as a key contributor to planning performance and supplier execution while continuing to develop broader strategic planning capabilities.

Work Model: This a hybrid role, requiring in-person attendance at our Ewing, NJ office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and remote work options on Monday and Friday.

Role Responsibilities   

Supply & Inventory Planning

  • Independently manage demand-driven supply plans for assigned products and suppliers
  • Monitor demand variability and adjust plans to meet customer service requirements
  • Analyze inventory levels and recommend actions to reduce shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence
  • Manage routine shortages, backorders and expedites
  • Execute product transitions, part number changes, and end-of-life planning activities
  • Maintain and optimize planning parameters
  • Participate in capacity planning activities and identify potential constraints

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Execute procurement plans aligned with business requirements
  • Manage day-to-day supplier relationships and communications
  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and follow up on commitments
  • Lead resolution of routine supplier issues and delivery disruptions
  • Escalate significant supply, quality, or capacity concerns appropriately
  • Support supplier performance reviews and corrective action activities
  • Support global capacity planning, including planning around extended shutdowns (e.g., Lunar New Year)

Systems, Data & Analytics

  • Maintain planning data accuracy within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., Oracle, ePortal)
  • Monitor planning reports, inventory reports, and fulfillment metrics
  • Analyze inventory trends, order patterns, and service performance
  • Identify data inconsistencies and drive corrective actions
  • Utilize planning tools, reports, and analytics to support decision-making
  • Support process improvement and automation initiatives

Cross-Functional & Strategic Contributions

  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Quality to resolve supply issues
  • Participate in supply review and operational planning meetings
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) planning and launch readiness activities
  • Communicate supply risks and mitigation plans to stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning and procurement processes

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 4-7 years combined experience in Supply Planning, Purchasing, Inventory Management, Operations, Manufacturing, Logistics
  • Experience working with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, ePortal)
  • Experience managing suppliers and purchase order execution
  • Experience supporting inventory planning and shortage management
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills

Preferred Experience

  • Global or contract manufacturing experience
  • Experience managing planning responsibilities across multiple product lines
  • New Product Development (NPD) planning experience
  • APICS CPIM/CSCP, CPSM, or equivalent certification (or progress toward certification)
  • Exposure to advanced planning tools, reporting, analytics, or AI-enabled planning solutions

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $71,000-$88,000. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
