Job Summary

Church & Dwight is looking for a strategic, commercially minded Procurement leader to help power some of the company’s most iconic brands. This role sits within the Global Procurement organization and is ideal for a high-energy professional who brings curiosity, ownership, and a bias for action to complex sourcing challenges.

About the Role

As Senior Manager, Flexible Packaging Procurement, this individual will lead a team responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies across the Fabric, Home, and Personal Care portfolios.  This highly visible role will own category strategy, supplier relationships, sourcing execution, contract negotiations, G2G cost savings, and supply resiliency initiatives—partnering cross-functionally to deliver measurable value for the business

Work Environment

Hybrid: The role will be based in Ewing, NJ and requires in-person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification and selection of packaging suppliers, ensuring they meet standards for supply assurance, service, cost, quality, sustainability, responsible sourcing and supplier diversity

  • Primary point of contact for all key stakeholders, owning all operational activities related to the sourcing and supply of flexible packaging used in the manufacturing of industry leading brands Arm & Hammer, OxiClean, Therabreath, Trojan and Orajel among others

  • Identify and execute strategic initiatives within subject categories assuring supply, driving resiliency and optimizing cost and value creation for the organization

  •  Partner closely with key stakeholder teams to understand critical business requirements and develop strategies for key procurement initiatives

  • Develop category strategies for respective spend categories: complete spend analysis, define business requirements, perform market research, conduct industry and category analysis, initiate risk analysis

  • Manage and execute all steps of the six-step strategic sourcing process including developing and executing sourcing strategies, negotiating with suppliers, conducting bid analysis, and leading supplier selection

  • Own supplier contract development and execution, leading negotiation efforts with suppliers in collaboration with Corporate Legal Team

  • Provide aggregate reporting on category performance and key metrics such as purchase price variance, supplier service, material quality, G2G cost savings, cash flow generation and supplier reliability

  • Monitor and research industry trends as well as best practices, and adopt them as appropriate for assigned spend categories

  • Manage and optimize functional sourcing support activities while ensuring adherence to stakeholders’ corporate standards

  • Manage internal customer relationships through cross functional business engagement, and develop deep category knowledge in the assigned category areas

  • Drive Supplier Relationship Management including, but not limited, to supplier segmentation, scorecarding and KPI management and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Deep category expertise and industry knowledge, including market dynamics, supplier landscapes, emerging trends, and strategic sourcing levers.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.

  • Proven people leadership and talent development capabilities, including coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams.

  • Strong AI literacy with a proven track record of integrating emerging technologies into business and procurement workflows.

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative capabilities, including financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI.

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating complex concepts to executive and cross-functional audiences.

  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.

  • 8+ years of progressive Procurement and/or Supply Chain experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years of category management experience within Packaging Procurement.

  • Demonstrated success developing sourcing strategies, leading supplier negotiations, and delivering cost, quality, and service improvements.

  • Strong proficiency in SAP/ERP systems and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook).

  • Advanced data analytics and reporting capabilities using Power BI and related visualization tools.

  • Demonstrated AI literacy and experience leveraging AI-enabled solutions to enhance productivity, analytics, decision-making, and procurement processes.

  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, or CPM certification preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $130,200-185,400. This position is also eligible for bonus.

U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
