Job Summary
Church & Dwight is seeking a Financial Analyst, Ops Finance, to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Controller – Personal Care, this role is a key contributor to the Operations Finance team supporting the Personal Care business unit. The Financial Analyst will provide analysis, cost support, and decision-making insights across New Product Development (NPD), Global Manufacturing Services (GMS), and ongoing Personal Care operations.
About the Role
This role requires a highly analytical individual capable of partnering cross-functionally with Supply Chain, R&D, Procurement, GMS and Brand Finance teams to ensure accurate cost development, strong financial visibility, and informed decision-making impacting gross margin and operational performance.
Work Environment
Hybrid: This is a hybrid role based in Ewing, NJ and requires in- person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
NPD Costing & Decision Support
Support end-to-end costing for New Product Development initiatives, including standard cost builds, assumptions validation, and profitability analysis.
Partner with R&D, Procurement, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on inputs (BOMs, routings, sourcing strategy, and overhead assumptions).
Provide financial insights and scenario analysis to support product launch decisions, trade-offs, and margin optimization.
GMS & Supply Chain Support
Support Global Manufacturing Services (GMS) activities, including cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting.
Analyze and monitor manufacturing performance, including price, usage, labor, and overhead variances, providing actionable insights to operations teams.
Assist in evaluating sourcing strategies, contract manufacturing performance, and cost improvement opportunities.
Inventory reconciliation processes (B2B, GR/IR, physical counts)
Investigation of consumption/receiving discrepancies
Collaboration with plants/CMs to resolve inventory issues
Business Unit Financial Support (Personal Care)
Partner cross-functionally with Brand Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain to support Plan, Forecast, and PPR processes for Personal Care.
Provide financial analysis and commentary on key drivers of COGS performance, including mix, volume, and cost variances.
Support ongoing cost visibility and margin improvement initiatives across the Personal Care portfolio.
Cost Accounting & Reporting
Assist in standard cost development, maintenance, and validation within SAP (S/4HANA environment).
Support month-end close activities, including COGS analysis, account reconciliation, and variance explanation.
Ensure adherence to corporate cost accounting policies, internal controls, and SOX requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Analytics
Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and improve financial processes, tools, and reporting.
Develop and maintain reporting and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to enhance transparency and decision support.
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support key business initiatives and leadership requests.

Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
Ability to interpret and analyze cost drivers and financial performance
Proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to partner cross-functionally
High attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights
Education and Experience
BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
2–4 years of experience in Finance/Accounting or Cost Accounting
Prior experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, or CPG operations preferred
Exposure to ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Compensation and Benefits
The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $59,400-$84,500. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
