ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
- Quality Control Analyst– Rotating Schedule 12hr, 10hr and 8hr (7 on/6 off)
- Thursday- Thursday

ROLE SUMMARY: The QC Analyst is responsible for various duties in the Laboratory.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (*denotes essential job functions):
- *Ensuring sodium bicarbonate is produced following FDA/GMP, ISO 9001 and customer guidelines.
- *Operation of laboratory analytical equipment including ICP, IC, UV/VIS, Particle Size and Wet Chemistry Analysis.
- *Inspections of manufacturing and packaging raw materials.
- *Analytical testing of finished product produced at the Green River plant.
- *Calibration and PM of lab instruments, CWR testing and air sampling.
- *USP testing of FDA regulated sodium bicarbonate products.
- *Quality control of packaging processes for package integrity, code dating, weight control, metal detection, etc.
- *This person may also be trained as an 1S0 auditor and to perform sanitation/safety inspections.
- This position offers the potential for advancement to a QC Analyst I role, contingent upon experience and performance in the current position.
- *This position may be required to work assigned and/or mandatory overtime based on operational needs and adequate staffing levels specific to their department and the essential functions of their position.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience OR
- 2 years of post-secondary degree (with or without degree) in related discipline and 1 year of related experience.
PREFERED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Preference will be given to candidates possessing a bachelor's degree preferably in Chemistry or one of the other earth sciences.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Computer literacy.
- Demonstrated ability to reason and make timely and quality decisions.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
REQUIRED TRAINING:
- OSHA Safety Training
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Primarily indoor work in a laboratory environment.
- Exposure to chemicals, solvents, and other laboratory materials.
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle or operate lab equipment.
