Job Summary

Church & Dwight is seeking a Global Micro Robustness and Plant Hygiene Senior Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and designing the framework for environmental monitoring and plant hygiene across internal and external sites. This position is responsible for setting the strategic direction, gaining alignment and implementing globally harmonized processes to enhance C&D’s microbial/hygienic robustness based on industry standards and best practices. This position is responsible for influencing all levels of management, including the ELT of business needs to ensure an appropriate level of quality and compliance risk across Church and Dwight

About the Role

Reporting to the Associate Director, Technical Support Quality, the Global Micro Robustness and Plant Hygiene Senior Manager is responsible for developing and designing the framework for environmental monitoring and plant hygiene across internal and external sites. This position is responsible for setting the strategic direction, gaining alignment and implementing globally harmonized processes to enhance C&D’s microbial/hygienic robustness based on industry standards and best practices. This position is responsible for influencing all levels of management, including the ELT of business needs to ensure an appropriate level of quality and compliance risk across Church and Dwight

Leads and provides strategic direction for Micro Robustness and Plant Hygiene, ensuring effective design, implementation and continuous improvement of criteria and processes aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
Establish standardized metrics for Micro Risk/Plant Hygiene to identify trends, signals, and ensure proper governance. Ensure risks are effectively communicated and understood by cross functional leaders for data-driven decision making

Develop and deploy a Micro Risk Assessment program to enhance proactive risk identification and prevention. Ensure consistent expectations and practices across C&D’s broad manufacturing network.
Collaborate with manufacturing sites on best practices, develop right-sized strategy aligned with industry standards.
Technical SME for microbiological investigations and events
Expertise in developing Environmental Monitoring programs, Hygienic design for equipment, DI water systems, and facilities
Knowledge of policies, procedures and metrics
Standard computer based software knowledge
Keeps accurate documentation and submits detailed reports to appropriate executives
Skills in data analysis to report and present effectiveness of business processes
High attention to detail, organization and accuracy
Math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods
Contributes to policy, strategy implementation, and execution of relevant policies and procedures across manufacturing sites
Ability to think strategically and creatively translate strategy into action

Work Environment

  • Hybrid: The role will be based in Princeton, NJ and requires in-person attendance on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with remote work options on Mondays and Fridays.

  • 25% travel required

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Education and Experience
 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Professional typically with over 15+ years technical experience and a demonstrated track record

  • Minimum of 5 years in industrial microbiology (food, pharma, OTC or Medical Device)

  • Generalist in at least 3 areas: Consumer products, medical device, food, dietary supplements or pharmaceutical

  • Minimum of 5 years’ of supervisory experience

  • Contributions balanced between strategy and functional execution elements; independent; people management

  • Consulted internally as an expert in at least 2 areas of functional expertise.​

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to develop and implement complex global quality strategies

  • Practical understanding, interpretation, and application of FDA CFR’s, ISO13485, MDSAP

  • Excellent verbal and written communication; able to analyze, define and effectively convey difficult and complex issues in a way that accurately and persuasively communicates issues to internal and external stakeholders, including Senior Management

  • Ability to think strategically and creatively and to translate strategy into action plans

  • Demonstrated talent management experience with developing talent for the future

  • Ability to work with all levels of management and to build relationships across disciplines

Compensation and Benefits

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,200-$185,400. This position is also eligible for a bonus.

As a Church & Dwight US employee, you (and eligible dependents, as applicable) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and Paid Parental Leave. U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and vacation days starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date. You are also able to participate in our 401k retirement plan (with company match and profit-sharing) and Discounted Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay parity. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
