Job Summary
Church & Dwight is seeking a National Account Manager, eCommerce (Amazon 1P) to join our team. We are seeking an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented sales professional who is passionate about recognizing and developing new business opportunities.
About the Role
The Amazon National Account Manager will serve as the main point of contact between Church & Dwight and our Amazon 1P business. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth through strategic account management, trade optimization, and collaborative partnerships. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of account-specific strategies, ensuring operational excellence across all business functions.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive eCommerce knowledge and skills, as they will perform various tasks as a critical member of the sales team, focusing on business growth by partnering strategically with both internal and external stakeholders.
This position reports to the Amazon Team Leader, eCommerce, and will collaborate closely with the extended eCommerce team, including Revenue Growth Management, Digital Marketing, Sales Finance, Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, IT, and various contracted agencies.
Work Environment
Remote: This role is performed on a remote basis. Occasional attendance at in-person meetings required as business needs dictate.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Attain annual sales, trade-spending, and net profit goals
Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts
Build strong cross functional relationships with account contacts and gain expert knowledge on the customer's go to market strategy.
Maintain regular reporting and forecasting activities. These objectives should be accomplished within, or below, all budgetary constraints.
Own all direct contact with retailer partners and address specific requests/requirements in a timely fashion
Negotiate all programming investment terms and contracts
Conduct regular business reviews on an as needed basis with all key stakeholders
Educate cross-functional members of CHD organization on key aspects of customer’s business needs
Allocate trade budget to specific programs that drive the business and ensure trade spending is kept within budge
Collaborate with Digital Marketing, Brand, Shopper Marketing, etc. on key programs as needed
Assist eCommerce demand planning teams on forecast/production accuracy to drive 99% fill fate with customer
Work with eCommerce Brand Managers to develop on-line assortment/media strategies to drive profitable sales
Seek to continuously understand various retail partner’s programs and align with CHD goals
Develop and execute plans and strategies that meet assigned sales and growth goals
Identify any relevant critical metrics, secure necessary data to measure and track accordingly
Understand all customer strategies/roadmaps, organization, operations, shoppers, capabilities and ways of working to win with the retailer.
Proactively communicate any competitive risks, opportunities and new product ideas back to corporate.
Skills and Competencies:
Proven ability to build and manage customer relationships
Highly organized with proven multi-tasking, follow-up ability, project management, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Self-driven, curious, independent problem solver with a strong work ethic and high energy
Effective communication skills, and presentation skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams
Digital and content management expertise
Proven ecommerce strategist
Track record of success in promoting product growth
Education and Experience:
BS/BA degree in general business, eCommerce, brand management, financial analysis, or marketing
2+ years of CPG field sales experience
Minimum of 2 years eCommerce experience preferred
Strong data, analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills; strong experience with Excel and PowerPoint is required
Experience with development and execution of strategic business plans
Position requires individual to have a thorough understanding of business financials
Proven account management experience – Amazon experience preferred.
Ability to travel 20% or more if necessary
