Team Lead, eCommerce Sales

Overview:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Team Lead, eCommerce Sales leads a team responsible for the development and expansion of business relationships with key retailer partners in the eCommerce channel, including Amazon, Chewy, and Well.ca.  The role involves strategic thinking, team management, and execution of key sales initiatives to deliver Church & Dwight Canada’s category and brand objectives, while achieving customer revenue & profit targets as assigned.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge and a proven track record in eCommerce Sales, strong leadership skills, demonstrated competency in negotiations, and the ability to drive performance through strategic planning.

This role will be responsible to do the following:

  • Develop account level strategic vision and business plans for eCommerce to achieve Church & Dwight channel development and profitability ambitions
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team to successfully achieve individual and team goals.  Set clear goals and performance metrics for team members and provide regular feedback and support
  • Oversee key account at all levels and develop relationships that enable achievement of plans.  Drive best in class partnership as a leading trading partner with retailers and lead key negotiations
  • Support the cohesive execution of Church & Dwight Digital Marketing strategies in collaboration with Digital/eCommerce Marketing
  • Manage the Customer P&L to Gross Margin, with emphasis on delivering quotas assigned across Gross Sales, Trade Spend, Net Sales, and Gross Margin
  • Develop and reinforce best practices that support team enablement of forecast accuracy, supply chain optimization, consumption growth, and other cross functional goals
  • Work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders and functions to identify, develop, and execute strategic plans
  • Drive eCommerce capabilities enhancements including new tools and best practices in alignment with the Church & Dwight eCommerce Development Strategy
  • Collaborate with International Church & Dwight partners on eCommerce best practice sharing, opportunities, and common work streams
  • Act as a leader internally on the sharing and development of eCommerce knowledge, best practices, and overall integration of e-business at Church & Dwight
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to keep the team informed and competitive

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in eCommerce or Digital, ideally within Consumer Packaged Goods, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Previous experience working with Amazon is required
  • Strong understanding of and curiosity to remain an expert in the Digital space including the retailer environment, digital marketing, online sales strategies, and tech advancements
  • Position requires individual to have a thorough understanding of business financials and solid presentation experience to executive level personnel internally & externally
  • Strong strategic negotiation skills and influence-based selling skills
  • Solid communication and presentation skills (JBP experience is preferred)
  • Proven ability to transform insights and data into actionable, customer-relevant plans
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and syndicated POS data
