Title: Assistant Digital Content Manager

Reports to: Digital Marketing Lead

Position Summary:

The Church & Dwight Digital Marketing Team is looking for a marketer/designer with a passion for digital marketing and content optimization. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Team Lead, the Digital Content Manager will be pivotal in managing and optimizing product and brand content to bolster C&D's online marketing ecosystem. This position holds a key responsibility in shaping C&D's overall brand image and enhancing eCommerce performance.

In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, you will actively contribute to advancing C&D's digital agenda. Your primary focus will be on elevating digital asset management practices, creating and adapting product and brand content for all eRetailer platforms, and facilitating best-in-class digital experiences. Additionally, your role will involve syndicating eCommerce product content across the retailer network, ensuring the execution of goals and objectives for the CHD Digital Growth organization. Experience with Content Management Systems, particularly Salsify, Syndigo, and Profitero, as well as familiarity with large datasets, is preferred.

Role Accountabilities and Accountabilities:

Digital Shelf Management:

  • Lead the communication and production process for evolving retailer product description pages (PDPs), collaborating with agency partners and the Brand/Sales teams to improve on-site product content aligned to eCommerce best practices.
  • Manage and optimize digital content across various platforms (i.e., Amazon, Walmart, Shoppers Drug Mart, Well.ca, etc.), ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Brand Marketing Team, to build processes around asset collection & management, ensuring master data is appropriately incorporated into product content and help to create, edit, and publish engaging content for online channels.
  • Leverage and support the use of C&D’s internal Content & Product Data Management systems (Salsify and Syndigo), liaise with Global team on evolving standards.
  • Elevate digital asset management practices to ensure efficient organization, storage, and retrieval of multimedia content.

Content Creation:

  • Lead development and create compelling and visually appealing digital content, including graphics, videos, and written materials that meets each eRetailers best practices.
  • Ensure all content adheres to SEO best practices to enhance online visibility.

eCommerce Support:

  • Adapt product and brand content for eRetailer platforms, contributing to a seamless online shopping experience.
  • Syndicate eCommerce product content across the retailer network to meet organizational growth objectives.

Collaboration:

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to understand content needs and align digital strategies.
  • Act as a key liaison between marketing, design, and development teams to execute cohesive digital campaigns.

Analytics and Insights:

  • Utilize data-driven insights to measure the performance of digital content and recommend optimizations.
  • Justify content decisions based on analytics, contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Undergraduate Degree preferred. Focus on graphic design and/or marketing.
  • 1-3 years of agency or CPG experience in graphic design, marketing, or sales; Co-op experience considered.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and graphic design experience an asset.
  • Proven understanding of Canadian CPG market; our customers and consumers.
  • Strong Communication skills, and experience managing external vendors and agency partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally within an organization.
  • Able to work independently in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for marketing creative with knowledge of digital content & copywriting best practices.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with eCommerce, Product Information Management systems (Salsify/Syndigo) and retailer media considered a plus.

  • Motivated self-starter with a desire to lead a step change in brand sales growth online
  • Comfortable handling the details as well as thinking about the big picture/strategy
  • Comfortable working autonomously as well as with internal and external teams/agencies
  • Demonstrated skills in managing complex processes across stakeholders, using strong interpersonal skills and a heightened level of communication.
