Processing Technician D - 3rd Shift

Sunday -- Thursday 11:00pm - 7:00am

Starting Pay Rate - $29.99/hr

Major Responsibilities:

            Processing Pre-weigh Functions:

Weighing raw materials to correct amounts based on the batch sheet Transport raw materials in and out of pre-weigh room using forklift Transfer liquid or dry raw materials from one container to another, using tools such as a scooper, funnel, spigot, etc.  Lift drums of raw materials using a hydraulic drum runner. Properly document and label all ingredients and follow all steps on the batch sheet Performs cross check of all raw materials weighed.  A second pre-weigher must confirm the weight taken by the first operator Perform OSHA required Forklift safety inspection and complete checklist Adhere to departments SOP’s, GMP’s and JSA’s Adhere to all safety procedures Wear appropriate PPE Perform appropriate inventory transactions through the use of the WMS System. Participate in all job-related Safety training and personally complies with all safety policies and procedures. Responsible for keeping the pre-weigh room clean at all times Perform other duties as assigned Lift drums of raw materials using an air powered hoist Properly and carefully weigh toxic, corrosive and acid raw material Operate in both pre-weigh departments scale calibrations Train new and existing employees on all operations of pre-weigh Perform ammonia weighing process

Skills:

Must be able to speak and communicate in English. Basic math skills Basic computer skills Forklift certified Must be clean shaven at all times, as per the requirements of the respirator fit. Able to follow directions Detailed oriented Teamwork oriented – Ability to effectively communicate Ability to multitask

Education and experience required:

HS diploma or equivalent (GED). Minimum one-year experience as a pre-weigh in a fast pace manufacturing environment preferred.  FDA environment a plus. Experience with WMS a plus. Must clear a respiratory fit test to wear a respirator. (Required)
