HR Rewards & Operations Specialist (Mexico & Latam)

Roles Objectives:


Provides HR expertise and support across employee lifecycle management, rewards, benefits, payroll governance, compliance, and employee experience. Partner with leaders and employees to identify needs, recommend solutions, improve HR processes, and drive effective people practices while ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a positive employee experience.


Responsibilities:

Employee Lifecycle & HR Advisory

  • Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees on HR-related matters.
  • Support managers by providing guidance on employee lifecycle processes, organizational changes, and workforce administration.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, internal transfers, and offboarding activities ensuring excellent employees.
  • and employee records ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Leverages data, technology, and AI-enabled solutions to simplify HR processes, improve employee experience, generate actionable insights, and increase organizational efficiency.
  • Process purchase orders and liaise with vendors for HR-related services.

Compensation, Benefits & Rewards

  • Manage compensation administration activities including offer proposals, employment cost analysis, annual compensation processes, STI and LTI administration.
  • Act as subject matter expert on employee benefits programs, ensuring effective administration and employee understanding.
  • Analyze compensation and benefits data and provide recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure service quality and continuous improvement.

Payroll Governance & Workforce Administration

  • Coordinate payroll-related activities, ensuring accurate and timely processing through partnership with payroll providers and internal stakeholders
  • Analyze payroll trends, identify issues, and drive corrective actions.
  • Support sales incentive payment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor regulations and corporate policies.

Employee Relations, Compliance & HR Operations Excellence

  • Support employee relations matters, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with labor legislation.
  • Lead HR audits, internal controls, and employment documentation processes.
  • Maintain compliance programs related to NOM-035, remote work requirements, and labor regulations.
  • Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities and propose corrective actions.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors and employee programs ensuring operational excellence and positive employee experience.

Position Specifications


Education:

Bachelor's degree in Administration, Industrial Relations, Accounting or related

Fluent at conversation and writing in English

Specific experience and expertise

  • At least 4 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits, and Payroll Governance
  • Advanced Excel and data management capabilities (pivot tables, complex formulas, dashboards, Power BI, data visualization, and automation tools).
  • Strong experience in payroll governance, compensation, benefits, and workforce administration.
  • Solid knowledge of Mexican labor legislation (LFT), IMSS regulations, employee administration, and labor compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of compensation principles, salary structures, incentive plans, and rewards programs.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and other HR technologies.
  • Strong HR Analytics capabilities, including workforce reporting, data interpretation, trend analysis, and people insights generation.
  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools to improve HR processes, employee experience, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement through technology, AI solutions, and process redesign.
  • Experience managing confidential and sensitive employee information with high levels of integrity and professionalism.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, and HR compliance frameworks.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously
