Role Summary
Founded in 1846, Church & Dwight is one of the leading consumer packaged goods companies in the U.S. We manufacture and market a broad range of leading Household, Personal Care, Specialty Hair & Skin Care and OTC to consumers in 135 countries. Well-known brands marketed around the world include ARM & HAMMER, THERABREATH, WATERPIK, FEMFRESH, STERIMAR, BATISTE, OXICLEAN, PEARLDROPS, HERO, TOUCHLAND and many more.
China market is a very strategic and important market. This role is new within this team. It has been created to address brand-building needs and to enable the strategic and sustainable growth in China.
This person will be responsible for end-to-end brand management for the portfolios in Church & Dwight Personal Care category.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
End to end responsible for Church & Dwight Personal Care brands in China
- Integrated Marketing Strategy & Plans – Develop brand strategies and execution plans in order to deliver both brand building and business development targets;
- Product Portfolio Development & Optimization – Develop brands’ 3Y NPD pipeline by incorporating the global pipeline and deep understanding of local needs;
- Brand Building – Work with International Marketing team to understand global communication strategy. Develop and execute compelling Marketing Campaigns in China with local insights. Know and reinforce brand standards. Be ambassadors of the brands;
- Customer/Channel/eCom Marketing - Identify opportunities and create programs designed to grow specific channels and customers. Build collaborative relationships with strategic business partners and industry stakeholders. Promote growth through a shared understanding of success criteria;
Capability Development
- Develop brand category mastery of self and the team, by leveraging internal & external resources as well as AI capability.
- Build internal and external collaborations, with ability to understand, engage and influence key stakeholders of cross function (International MKT, Sales, Regulatory, R&D, Supply Chain etc) and key business partners of distributors and retailers.
- Cultivate and support top-class performance of self and the team
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, oversea experience is preferred
- 8+ years working experience in manager roles in the marketing department of international FMCG companies, experience in Personal Care, Feminine Care, Cosmetic, Fragrance category will be a plus
- Has solid fundamental marketing knowledge and skill set, including brand building, product development, trade marketing, and has strong business sense.
- Has successful case of brand building campaigns that enabled business growth
- Has rich experience in eCommerce and digital marketing
- Success case of NPD launch in China domestic or cross border eCommerce is a plus
- Great collaboration, especially with internal and external key partners and stakeholders
- Strong thinking & problem-solving capabilities
- Strong ownership & accountability for success of all marketing initiatives and commercial targets
- Entrepreneurship and passion for winning in the marketplace
- Collaborative and strong team player
- Strong verbal and written communicator (both in Mandarin and English) to broader audiences including senior management
The job will be based in Church and Dwight Shanghai office and will require occasional (~20%) domestic and international travel.
