The Global Supply Chain Resiliency Manager ensures the uninterrupted operation of Church & Dwight in the face of potential threats and disruptions. The role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive business continuity plans and strategies. The successful candidate will be to identify potential risks, assess their impact, and develop strategies to mitigate those risks to ensure the continuity of critical business functions across the global organization including corporate, manufacturing, research & development, international subsidiaries, and our brands. The person in this role will have an influence on 63 total brands, $6.2B in sales, 13 global internal manufacturing sites, and projecting around 10% of our capital budget ($20MM)

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:                                                       

  • Resiliency Strategy Development:
    • Lead subject matter expert in supply chain risk and the development and execution of a comprehensive supply chain resiliency strategy.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain resiliency strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals.
    • Proactively identify vulnerabilities, assess risks, and develop mitigation plans and playbooks to address potential disruptions based on business impact.
    • Make critical decisions under the direction of Sr Manager and Director regarding prioritization of mitigation plans, investment recommendations, and implementation roadmap.
    • Provide recommendations on whether to invest in proactive mitigation plans and regularly present investment plan to senior leaders including CEO, CFO, EVP’s in quality and R&D, and all supply chain ELT.
    • Establish an ongoing review of the program to ensure best practices are captured and the program is up to date.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate emerging risks and threats to proactively update and enhance business continuity strategies.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for business continuity-related audits, assessments.
  • Continuity Planning:
    • Oversee the implementation of innovative and effective resiliency strategies within CHD to continuously reduce service vulnerability
    • Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and manufacturing sites to develop and maintain crisis management plans, back up manufacturing locations, emergency response procedures, disaster recovery plans, and cybersecurity incident response plans.
    • Coordinate and Execute regular testing and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity plans.
    • Engage with Procurement and their suppliers to understand their risk management strategy and approach to supply chain transparency, translating them to actionable insights to reduce CHD’s risk
    • Support the pro-active identification of high-risk suppliers, commodities, part numbers or facilities through risk management methodology
    • Design and implement supply chain risk training and awareness programs to support transformation and share best practices
  • Data Analysis:
    • Utilize data analytics and technology to monitor and evaluate the performance of the supply chain
    • Establishes and monitors key performance metrics for the supply chain risk management and Business Continuity processes
    • Implement data-driven solutions to improve resiliency and responsiveness
  • Travel 15-20% of time to both direct and contract manufacturing locations may be required

Qualifications:

  • BS/BA Degree Required – Focus in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years in CPG, preferably with experience in two or more of Plan, Source, Make, and Deliver.
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in supply chain resiliency management
  • Ability to create, implement and maintain processes that will drive transformation across the Supply Chain.
  • Strong knowledge of business continuity principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Lean /Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Black Belt from ASQ or equivalent is preferred
  • Professional certifications in business continuity management, such as CBCP or MBCI, are desirable.
