Are you a highly skilled and experienced Quality Control Manager? Are you passionate about driving continuous improvement and maintaining a strong quality culture within a dynamic organization? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking a talented QC Manager to join our team in Folkestone on a permanent basis and manage all activities of our QC Department, including the Quality Control and Microbiology Labs. As the QC Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements, as well as driving efficiency, performance, and safety within the laboratories.

This role will require the successful candidate to work from our Manufacturing Site in Folkestone 5 days per week, managing teams working a variety of day shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote safety and quality culture within the Quality Control Laboratories
  • Manage activities of Quality Laboratories and Analytical Services
  • Collect and analyse data to drive continuous improvement
  • Prepare technical reports and maintain compliance with standards
  • Manage non-compliant testing program and optimize resources
  • Train and develop employees for career growth
  • Collaborate with R&D for laboratory testing of new/existing products
  • Lead, coach, and mentor staff for high performance

Required Experience & Skills:

  • Extensive proven experience in Quality Control or a similar regulated industry (e.g., FMCG, Medical Devices, Pharmaceuticals).
  • Proven experience in personnel supervision or relevant managerial positions.
  • Knowledge of GMP, IS022716 or 3485 is an advantage.
  • Experience and knowledge of continuous improvement activities and relevant tools desired.
  • Previous experience in root cause analysis and CAPA is desired but not essential.
  • Experience in data analysis and review for effective communication to management teams.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong team-building, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable manner to a diverse audience.
  • Proficiency in leading and participating in improvement project teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, demonstrating both leadership and teamwork.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
