If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Join our UK Finance team on a permanent basis as a Financial Accountant in Folkestone and play a key role in managing the GMG (Export) books to provide accurate and timely financial accounts.

The role will require the successful candidate to work from our UK Corporate Office in Folkestone at least 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile intercompany recharges and balances on a monthly basis.
  • Liaise with internal teams to ensure accurate invoicing and raise necessary journals and accruals.
  • Analyze GMG departmental cost centers for accuracy and investigate anomalies.
  • Reconcile balance sheet control accounts and make adjustments as needed.
  • Manage the revenue recognition process and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare VAT data for UK, FR, and NL submissions.
  • Assist with quarterly inventory provisions and US reporting.
  • Support annual audit and Sarbanes Oxley internal audit process.
  • Prepare annual balance sheet review and provide budget values for cost lines.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and authorize bank payments.
  • Assist with IT and Finance continuous improvement projects.

Required Skills:

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA with a degree in Accountancy or Economics.
  • Corporate/Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Oracle desired.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP advantageous.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to probe further into data.
  • Deadline-oriented mindset.
