Lead Staff Financial Accountant

Role Summary                                                          

The Principal Staff Accountant handles Special Projects, Oracle Meta Data maintenance, and complex reporting within the Corporate Accounting Department and on behalf of the entire Finance function.  

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities  

  • Responsible for financial system monitoring and maintenance (SAP & Oracle)

  • Lead in preparation and maintenance of Metadata in Oracle

  • Lead the design and maintenance for Oracle P&L reports.

  • Lead for the Global Employment Organization accounting and reporting.

  • Create/Maintain tax structuring models, including but not limited to statutory filings, LLC structure financials, other tax benefit restructure modeling.

  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations and analysis.

  • Assist with month end closing responsibilities.

  • Take on ad-hoc projects as needed.

Education and Experience                                                          

  • BS degree from an accredited institution in accounting. CPA or Master's degree a plus but not required.

  • Seven (7) or more years of accounting or related professional level experience. 

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, specifically intermediary or higher Excel skill.

  • Proficient in Oracle and SAP financial systems

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.

  • Highly motivated, results oriented individual that can manage multiple projects.

  • Strong collaborator and team player.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Passionate about driving change within the organization.

  • Ability to influence across multiple functions and levels to achieve pricing initiatives; Willingness to “have an opinion” backed up by insight and the confidence to influence key stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical skills are critical: candidate must be able to manipulate and analyze data from various sources to identify opportunities and articulate solutions/conclusions clearly and concisely.

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver who has the ability to apply analytic solutions to business problems.
