The Graphic Design and Prototyping Specialist will be responsible for utilizing graphic design expertise to create visually appealing and innovative designs, as well as operating and maintaining 3D printers. Work contribution includes prototyping, product development, and marketing materials.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize graphic design software to create visually appealing designs for marketing materials, presentations, and other business-related content.
  • Collaborate with marketing and R&D teams to develop engaging visuals that align with brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide insights on the feasibility of designs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to graphic design and 3D printing.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of 3D printers, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot 3D printing processes to ensure accurate and timely production of models and prototypes.
  • Manage the workflow of multiple 3D printing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Conduct regular maintenance of 3D printers, as well as troubleshoot and repair any mechanical or technical issues with suppliers’ technical support.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong graphic design skills, with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) or similar software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to translate ideas into visually appealing designs.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Experience operating and maintaining 3D printers, with an understanding of different printing technologies, materials, and processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in graphics design, product development, rapid prototyping, and laboratory environments
  • 1-3 relevant experience
