If the answer is yes - then look no further as Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our exclusive team based in our Folkestone Manufacturing site!

As a Project Engineer you will support the Engineering Manager in overseeing and executing capital investment projects throughout UK branches and occasionally European sites. You will also oversee project integration into the business, sharing updates and ensuring milestones are met. The role also involves partnering with the facilities group to set up a KPI system to gauge activity performance, evolving and overseeing the site's CAD drawings archive, and acting as a pivotal member in shaping the factory site project protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform tasks and roles as directed by the Projects and Facilities Engineering teams: developing skills and capabilities essential for an Engineer in a manufacturing context by following the guidance of the Projects and Facilities Engineering teams.
  • Lead the Project Gates Monthly meeting: leading the Project Gates Monthly meeting as a communication medium, connecting with the project team and all other departments.
  • Monitor and be accountable for project Change control: monitoring and be accountable for project Change control and become the Subject Matter Expert in change control within the department.
  • Formulate and carry out project communications and KPI monitoring: formulating and carrying out project communications and KPI monitoring to ensure the project progress and performance are transparent and measurable.
  • Master the skill of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA): troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the project execution.
  • Ensure project expenditures remain within the sanctioned budget: ensuring project expenditures remain within the sanctioned budget and share vital project details with management and the entire workforce when needed.

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years experience in Project Management, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment, and a degree in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. A Prince 2 qualification is desirable, but not mandatory. You will also have stellar communication capabilities, robust IT proficiency, with expertise in Excel, and proficiency in technical drawing using AutoCAD (or willingness to learn). Moreover, you should be able to demonstrate that you are independent, proactive, pragmatic, results-oriented, solution-focused, adaptable, innovative, resilient, poised, persuasive, dependable, punctual, proactive, versatile, and open to further learning and growth.

This role works 37 hours per week Monday-Friday.
