Resource Operator - Shipping

Coordinates the daily workforce and workflow to provide Warehouse efficiencies and vital customer service within the Old Fort Warehouse.

Reporting on Shift 995: Friday & Saturday 7:30pm-7:30am and Sunday & Thursday 7:30pm-3:30am. Hourly rate is $31.08 once training is completed for promotion. Employees accepting lower paying positions will receive the lower rate on their first day on the new job.

Essential Functions

  • Prioritize the workflow of Inbounds, Pack Line Support, and Outbound Loads.
  • Check Orders for Accuracy, Completion of all paperwork, Seals for trailers, and have the potential to ship orders.
  • Identify and execute warehouse utilization opportunities, assign row consolidation, and possible order trouble shooting.
  • Problem solve WMS issues and WMS Equipment.
  • Assess forklift assignments.
  • Must obtain and maintain a forklift operator’s license.
  • Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner and Use safe operating procedures and judgement.
  • Must have knowledge of company SKU’s.
  • Ability to place work ticket for maintenance on shipping related equipment.
  • Monitor supplies for the warehouse.
  • Oversees overtime/vacation requirements.
  • Complete weekly shipping reports.
  • Complete daily warehouse operator functions.
  • Leader of warehouse projects.
  • Train new shipping operators.
  • Work any shift during the week as well as weekends.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Familiar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principles.
  • Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products
  • Lift 50 pounds consistently

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma / GED is required
  • Six (6) months forklift experienced required
  • 2-5 years’ experience shipping, receiving or distribution experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  • Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills required; experience with SAP/WMS preferred.
  • Strong knowledge /experience in Shipping Receiving Operations preferred.
