Church & Dwight UK Ltd have a new role to bolster our Global Strategy & M&A Team to focus on growth in Europe. This is an opportunity for a permanent Director – International Strategy, M&A and Business Partnerships Europe based ideally in London/SE.

Church & Dwight Inc is a highly acquisitive company, with a $5.4bn turnover and over 5000 employees across the world.   We have an impressive 10 year TSR growth of 13.3%, sales growth averaging 6.3% and organic sales growth over the same period of 3.9%.

77% of our business is US Domestic, 17% International and 6% speciality products.

Our focus is growing our International business which we want to achieve through acquiring brands, business development and streamlining our strategy to deliver our goals.

This role will suit someone who has a background in accounting/finance, can demonstrate flexibility, and has already been influential at a senior level both internally and externally.  Reporting into the US, you will be a self-starter with the drive for growth and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Corporate Strategy and Strategic Planning: strategy design, strategic alignment, communication and change management

  • Business Transformation Initiatives: program leadership, program definition, and execution excellence

  • Corporate Development: support deal flow, venture and direct investment, and preserve institutional knowledge

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required and MBA preferred.

  • Seven (7) plus years’ experience consulting, private equity, investment banking or corporate development experience.

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and financial modelling

  • Strong knowledge of the application of finance and accounting concepts, including industry-standard valuation methodologies

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities given aggressive timelines

  • Ability to conduct diligence meetings with internal and external parties

  • Ability to communicate finance concepts effectively with non-financial peers/managers

  • Intellectual curiosity and passion to deliver results

  • Comfortable performing in a fast paced, dynamic environment, managing both internal and external resources

  • Willingness to challenge assumptions and the status quo to help establish best practices and leading M&A capabilities as a team
