If the answer is yes - then look no further. Church & Dwight UK Ltd have an exciting opportunity for a permanent Waste & Component Stock Co-ordinator to join our team based at our Manufacturing site in Folkestone, Kent.

The Waste & Component Stock Co-ordinator is responsible for the day to day administration and liaison of all waste aspects within Church & Dwight’s UK sites based in Folkestone, Kent. They are responsible for ensuring records are maintained and that the site operations are complaint to legislation. The Waste Coordinator is expected to drive improvements in the site that increase recycling rates, reduce waste generation, reduce costs and reduce Lean Wastes.

Key responsibilities Include:

  • To ensure that all requirements around storing materials correctly are met across the business.
  • Report waste streams and accurate recycling/landfill figures monthly.
  • Coordinate with waste contractors to ensure waste is removed from site in an efficient way, and meeting waste legislation rules.
  • Raise SAP Purchase Orders
  • Ensure accurate invoicing and record keeping alongside waste contractors.
  • Work with external waste contractor to remove waste from all sites quickly, efficiently, and compliantly.
  • Kanban stock checks, the reconciliation and updating of SAP.
  • Production order componentry stock checks, the reconciliation and updating of SAP.
  • Consumable stock checks, the reconciliation and updating of SAP.
  • Weekly/Monthly Bulk stock checks, the reconciliation and updating of SAP.
  • Tank and Silo stock checks, the reconciliation and updating of SAP.
  • Cycle counts of Dispensary stock, the reconciliation and updating of TRAC-IT & SAP.
  • Ownership of the rework process for finished goods, their return to site and journey back to Warehouse.
  • Ensure Church and Dwight UK are adhering to corporate sustainability targets.

The ideal candidate will have experience of waste management within a manufacturing/FMCG organisation. In addition:

  • Experience of managing projects would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working within the FMCG sector is preferable.
  • Experience working in waste management and improvement is desirable, but not essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Effective communicator at all levels. Good presentation skills and ability to conduct effective meetings and presentations with large teams.
  • Bias for action, with a professional and positive approach - a can do attitude with a willingness to go the extra mile when required
  • Dynamic, self-motivated and self sufficient
  • Ability to cope with pressure, assertive and adaptable
  • Able to self-manage, by understanding the goal and identifying actions to achieve
