Objective:
The main responsibility of this role is to be the site wide maintenance work order backlog management owner, weekly schedule forecast creator and routine daily schedule creator of ALL maintenance work to support production and maintenance across the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Creation and management of the weekly maintenance forecast and the daily maintenance schedule for 40 mechanics across all 12 packaging lines, processing areas, utility, and infrastructure assets.
- Coordinate equipment availability regardless of demand changes and market forces.
- Interface with contractors to support timely completion of work
- Communicate maintenance schedule issuances and changes to meet demand
- Coordinate refurbishment of spare parts and equipment
- Match the need date with available resources.
- Supply the maintenance supervisors and MRO’s with a schedule forecast.
- Communicate weekly with the maintenance supervisors and MRO’s on daily job status and changes to the weekly schedule.
- Own the resources and work to optimize resource capacity for the highest levels of efficiency and productivity.
- Champion of the core maintenance work process content, training, and key performance metrics: value added work screening, planning, scheduling, execution, and documentation/work order history.
- Maintenance KPI reporting (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annually)
- Owner and custodian of the maintenance work order backlog to assure accurate content including work status, costs, and labor requirements
- Mentor to all the users of the maintenance system
- Focal point for the planners and engineers on all work order content.
- Facilitate monthly maintenance backlog reviews: Mechanical and Electrical
- Owner and focal point of the shutdown work list
- Uses the SAP PM system and assist in training measures
- Preventive/Predictive maintenance program development and management in SAP
- Manage equipment Bill of Materials in SAP
- Manage PM plans, maintenance items and task lists within the PM module
- Initiate, Manage and Schedule majority of site utility and facility service providers.
- Focal point for preventive maintenance services.
- Build autonomous maintenance into all PM and repair work as relevant and practical.
- Assure deadline monitoring and dates in PM module are executed and correct
- Owner of the PM task library.
- Uses all feedback, work order and otherwise; to continuously improve value and effectiveness of the PM program.
- SAP PM local superuser.
Education: Minimum Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in am manufacturing environment performing maintenance planning activities and/or maintenance and engineering experience
Experience: Minimum Requirement:
- Must have experience working with SAP PM
- Must be able to manage time effectively and perform multiple tasks
- Must demonstrate effective communication skills
Skills
- Prefer experience with MS office applications
- Must provide clear task assignments to maintenance personnel
- Ability to work in a conceptual theoretical state to support continuous improvement protocols
- Must be familiar with usage of computers, hand tools, machine shop equipment, electronic meters, measurement devices, and predictive measurement devices.
