Job Location: Hybrid (Ewing, NJ/Home Office)

Digital Marketing Analytics team lead is a leadership role in Digital Strategy, Media, and Measurement department to inform, assess and guide Digital Marketing programs and Business strategy through analyzing consumers’ behaviors and their omni-channel journeys to improve digital experiences, drive top-line sales, and enable profitable growth across product portfolio. This critical role helps define and shape the data strategy and test and learn capabilities that drive efficiencies by leveraging and connecting a broad spectrum of marketing, media, and sales data to deliver business objectives of our iconic Brands in one of the fastest-growing consumer packaged goods company.

This role will be reporting to the Associate Vice President, Digital Strategy, Media, and Measurement, with a strong relationship to the Digital Strategy, Direct to Consumer, e-Commerce, Customer Experience, Sales, and Brand teams.  Key success factors for this role are 1) tell a cohesive, concise, and insightful story from a diverse data analysis, 2) influence without authority, manage multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced CPG environment, 3) be curious and collaborative with an open mindset and 4) maintain positive attitude when dealing with push backs and ambiguity 5) understanding of how to leverage new digital tools, technologies, and platforms to improve customer experience.

Job Responsibilities:

This leader must be comfortable working with external and internal partners, conducting A/B testing, analyzing trends and data, preparing reports, garnering, and communicating insights, relentlessly driving continuous optimization of content and campaigns as well as acting as a strong advocate of using quantitative insights that can benefit entire Church and Dwight organization. The goal is to develop a high performing, disruptive and digitally savvy analytic team while managing a robust analytical ecosystem leveraging internal and external data providers and partners to offer one-stop shop digital marketing and media facts and insights at the channel, message, creative, and audience level to help make decision and strategic choices.

Analytics and Insights: Digital Programs and Media Measurements

  • Provide actionable, data-driven answers to business questions by using the variety of disparate data sources (website, media, ecommerce, search and social as well as operational indicators such as consumers’ satisfaction, NPS, purchase behavior, 3rd party data, etc.) and conducting test and learns across touch points and Strategic Business Units.
  • Responsible for analyzing impact of Media (Paid, Owned and Earned) and digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels (such as email, SMS, programmatic advertising, direct response, search, and social, both paid and organic).
  • Provide thorough understanding of consumer behavior through digital metrics & reporting. Then translate this foundation into recommended A/B testing to improve channel performance.
  • Monitor and assess the competitive digital landscape and consumer trends to provide input on strategic direction for overall messaging.
  • Unify fragmented digital reporting across systems, campaigns, channels, and agencies to create a cohesive measurement plan in a concise and clear way to provide recommendations and insight.
  • Creates, maintains, and socializes digital analytic deliverables’ calendar encompassing all digital channels by collecting input and collaborating with sales and brand teams to feed facts and insights into the Brand Monthly Scorecards.
  • Manages data acquisition and end-to-end activation through data collection, processing, data flow, visualization, and distribution across all digital channels and customers.
  • Identify gaps in our digital analysis capabilities and communicate them to strategic business units, customer experience teams, Analytic Center of Excellence, IT, Data Scientists and Data Architects to close the gaps, improve performance measurement and maximize results.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert for all CRM & Marketing Automation tools to optimize data flow and execution of campaigns as well as for automated marketing clouds and systems to build customer journeys.
  • Monitor consumer experience on our branded and DTC websites, provide recommendations to DTC and Digital Strategy Teams for site performance improvement/optimization and work with the IT team on resolution.
  • Support & analyze digital ecosystem by implementing and providing tags via Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and other 3rd tools for all digital assets including websites, emails, media, and apps.
  • Lead internal and external partners teams in defining our cloud transformation journey, identifying opportunities for our business, and testing those capabilities that can operate at cloud-scale 
  • Set goals, and KPI for digital content, conduct regular digital Content assessment and analyze the performance of digital content across channels to identify areas for improvement and UI optimization vi A/B testing.

  • Supervise, coach, and develop direct report(s) to build leadership pipeline.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Marketing, Computer Sciences, Statistics, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in digital marketing or business administration strongly preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in Digital Analytics, CRM Analytics, MarTech or commerce cloud platforms analytics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Web, search, e-Commerce, and media analytics with defining and guiding the overall digital data architecture and integrations.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience of leading teams, managing direct reports, and developing talent
  • Experience launching and/or scaling up new platform in a commercial organization using Salesforce, Magento, Zuora, Azure, SAP Commerce Cloud, Shopify, AWS, or WordPress etc.
  • Experience with first party data segmentation, CDP, and personalization of digital marketing campaigns with an understanding of GDPR, CCPA and cybersecurity
  • Certification in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Marketing Platform, SAS, SPSS, etc. is preferred
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, CSS, query languages such as SQL, Python, C+ is not mandatory but a plus

Skills

  • Learn and adopt existing and new digital tools and technology with ease
  • Excellent quantitative analytics skills with an understanding of basic financial concepts and financial forecasting.
  • Ability to integrate different data sources and translate complex information into actionable reports/presentations with easy-to-understand non-technical terms.
  • Ability to effectively visualize data highlighting important insights and conveying the story
  • Ability to understand, analyze and solve business problems in dynamic fast paced environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
