Job Location: Hybrid (Ewing, NJ/Home Office)

The Category & Shopper Insights Senior Manager will work with key account teams and their respective retailers to develop, lead, and communicate fact-based analysis and insights in their respective category(s) to help drive C&D and category topline sales objectives through the execution of SBU deployed category platforms.

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Category & Shopper Insights. 

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop key actionable category insights and recommendations that highlight sales opportunities for C&D and categories.

  • Identify and drive strategic sales opportunities working cross functionally with retailer and C&D headquarter teams.

  • Work with Sales Team and Brokers for line reviews, shelf set development, and in the development of plans and strategies.

  • Utilize Tools and Insights to Enable Execution: Utilize Loyalty Card, Panel, Shopper insights, assortment, and POG tools to deliver unique insights.

  • Be an expert in customer specific data, and all required systems including Circana analytics and customer POS.

  • Present insights and recommendations to the buyer as part of the category review process.

  • Monitor competitive activity and recommend solutions to meet/counter competitive situations.

  • Effectively communicate category management insights within internal C&D organization, and category management department, not in violation of confidentiality agreements with our customers.

The Category & Shopper Insights Senior Manager will be evaluated on the following KPIs for their assigned Customers:

  • Activation of Category Platforms and Strategies

  • Category Share Growth

  • Increased Distribution

Education and Experience                                                          

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university required. MBA is a nice to have but not required.

  • 5+ years of experience in the CPG industry required.

  • 5+ years of Circana (formerly IRI) and/or Nielsen syndicated data experience is required.

  • Experience with Panel Data and Loyalty Card.

  • Experience with Excel, Excel Pivot Tables, PowerPoint.

  • Experience with PowerBI, Access, other data processing tools a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and creative problem-solving skills.
