Facilities Maintenance Technician - Days 

Monday - Friday TBD 7:00am - 5:00pm  

The hourly wage for this position is $20.98 to $21.84 

Sign On Bonus - $2,000

This highly visible position is located at our Vancouver and/or Ridgefield, WA facility. 

What you’ll do: 

This position will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and projects related to office spaces, warehouses, buildings, mechanical systems, structures, parking lots, landscaping, and all other facilities related tasks for both Ridgefield and Vancouver sites. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). 

  • Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.    

  • Complete maintenance tasks for buildings and mechanical systems, structures, grounds, and related to ensure proper function and professional standards.  

  • Perform work that will include general plumbing, construction, carpentry, painting, and any other repair of buildings and facilities.  

  • Record and document information about services, repairs, and inspections.  

  • Move, assemble, and place production machinery, office equipment, desks, tables, shelving, filing cabinets, etc.  

  • Use standard hand and power tools and equipment necessary to perform work.  

  • Operate PIT equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and man-lifts.  

  • Inspect plant safety equipment including fire suppression/sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, safety showers, etc.  

  • Assist with maintenance and repairs of plant utilities including HVAC, boilers, water systems, natural gas systems, air compressors, etc.  

  • Work with contractors performing work at the facility, and ensure they comply with all GMP and Safety policies.  

  • Performs other duties as assigned. 

What you’ll need: 

  • High school diploma or GED plus two (2) or more years of experience in construction, plumbing, or other facilities/mechanical maintenance.  

  • Ability to work extended shifts and weekends to complete work. 

  • Ability to read/write and follow instructions.  

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and construction/mechanical drawings.  

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.  

  • Ability to detect, analyze, and resolve problems.  

  • Ability to use MS Office and other computer software.  

  • Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance. 

  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire; perform moderate physical activity which requires standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day and up to twelve (12) hours per shift and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds; and perform work onsite in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
