Shift Lead, Manufacturing - Midnights 

Monday - Wednesday and every other Thursday 5:00pm - 5:00am  

The hourly wage for this position is $ 22.02 to $22.93 plus $ 1/hour shift dif

 Sign On Bonus - $2,000

This highly visible position is located at our Vancouver, WA facility. 

What you’ll do: 

This position will be responsible for leading manufacturing and production activities; assisting Shift Supervisor, Manufacturing with the coordination of materials and/or products processing in the manufacturing facility; leading manufacturing employees and monitors output and quality of products; and assures products meet quality and delivery requirements. 

Essential Functions: 

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).  

  • Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.    

  • Assist Manufacturing Supervisor in coordinating workers engaged in cooking, forming, coating, and packing candy.   

  • Prepare operational schedules and coordinating activities to ensure deadlines are met and quality of products meets specifications.   

  • Ensure machines and equipment are inspected to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.   

  • Develop or revise standard operational and working practices and observe workers to ensure compliance with standards.   

  • Ensure all tasks are performed according to safety procedures and regulations.   

  • Compile, store, and retrieve manufacturing and production data using computers.   

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

What you’ll need: 

  • High school diploma, GED plus one (1) year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified and/or equivalent combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the job.  

  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.   

  • Strong and effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.  

  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals.   

  • Knowledge of production procedures and documentation requirements. 

  • Ability to oversee and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.   

  • Ability to make evaluative judgments.   

  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.   

  • Employee development and performance management skills.   

  • Ability to analyze.   

  • Ability to investigate and analyze information, draw conclusions, and solve problems.   

  • Ability to work against and meet deadlines.  

  • Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance. 

  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire; perform moderate physical activity which requires standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day and up to twelve (12) hours per shift and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds; and perform work onsite in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.
