Role Summary
Execute product development under the supervision of an R&D Manager in a manner consistent with the C&D R&D Core Principles of teamwork, consumer and customer focus, personal responsibility and integrity, and ethical behavior and practices.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities (Describe the 5-7 major accountabilities)
- Develop laboratory samples and product prototypes to meet project design parameters
- Identify and/or develop methods and conduct tests to evaluate products or prototypes against established goals
- Record and analyze data; draw conclusions and make recommendations for next steps
- Recommend experimental designs for prototypes and test methods
- Evaluate new technologies for use in products/prototypes
- Interact on project teams within R&D (Packaging, Processing, Consumer Insights, Consumer Relations) and with outside suppliers and vendors
- Initiate product, raw material and test method specifications; enter into PLM
Education and Experience
BS degree from an accredited institution in Chemistry (or directly related scientific discipline) with 2+ years of relevant experience in product development. Recent MS/PhD with undergraduate laboratory experience and <1 year related experience.
