Role Summary                                                          

The Process Improvement Manager, Corporate Warehousing, is responsible for identifying, building, implementing a robust productivity pipeline for all Warehousing Operations in the United States, resulting in year over year operational savings.  Additionally, this role will develop, lead and maintain the Labor Productivity Distribution strategy for the current WMS (Warehouse Management System) as well as the future WMS & LMS (Labor Management System) implementation program to promote safe, efficient and cost-effective operations within Church & Dwight warehouses.

This role will collaborate with IT, Distribution Centers, Site Managers and Corporate Stakeholders to drive successful implementation and on-going maintenance of distribution labor productivity, as well as ensure the achievement of annual distribution productivity cost savings targets.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                       

  • Develop & implement strategies to drive operational excellence within distribution through the implementation of labor management system, standardized work, Kaizen events, time motion studies and other LSS tools & methods.
  • Develop & maintain communication and training programs to drive awareness and adherence to C&D Distribution Productivity programs
  • Collaborate with Corporate, IT and Distribution Leadership to define responsibilities, practices, procedures, processes, resources & roadmap to ensure on-time and on-target delivery of LMS program
  • Implement the use of standard dashboards to measure KPIs and audits to track progress
  • Train, coach & challenge sites and process owners in the development of standards and preferred work methods for the warehouse Distribution Centers
  • Manage, maintain & provide oversight of engineered standards at multiple sites
  • Serve as the corporate subject matter expert for industrial engineering, utilizing IE tools to develop engineered labor standards in order to drive improvements in labor scheduling & budgeting, warehouse / distribution performance reporting and evaluation of warehouse improvement potential for process changes and equipment investments
  • Serves as a liaison and primary point of contact between Church & Dwight and LMS provider
  • Ability to travel 25-40% to include extended on-site presence at Distribution Center locations as required

Education and Experience                                                          

  • BS or equivalent experience in Industrial Engineering / Supply Chain
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Warehouse / Distribution Operations and using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Labor Management Systems (LMS)
  • Certified LSS/Six Sigma and/or previous formal Continuous Improvement role candidates is highly desired
  • MBA and PMP Certification are all preferred 
  • Should be analytical, motivated with a positive manner, and willing to work in a group / team setting
  • Progressive work history in logistics and/or operations environment, demonstrating growth in position and/or responsibility
  • Proven experience on leading projects to improve efficiencies, reduce cost and / or improve responsiveness

Skills and Competencies

  • High level of competency in Distribution, Logistics & Supply Chain related processes and concepts 
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite for the creation of reports, presentations, and analysis and other advanced functionality 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while delivering quality results and meeting deadlines 
  • Detail oriented and able to consistently produce high quality results in a fast-paced environment 
  • Highly motivated with the ability to function independently and solve problems. 
  • Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with business partners and other team members 
  • Ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization 
  • Other required skills include: supervisory experience, time management, project management, analytical thinking, organizational influence, and verbal/written communication 
  • Highly motivated to achieve results and challenge the status quo
