Church & Dwight Co., Inc. is offering summer 2024 internship opportunities in our Fabric Care Technology R&D department. This 10-week internship program starts on May 29th and runs through August 6th, and includes exposure to leadership, professional development, networking events, and the chance to connect with students throughout a variety of functions.

As a Fabric Care Technology R&D Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside a team of experience product development scientists. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in developing and testing new fabric care formulations, improving existing products, and conducting research on emerging trends and technologies. You will be actively involved in various stages of the product development process, from ideation to testing and analysis.

In this internship you will:

Work with the R&D team to develop new fabric care product ideas.

  • Assist in the formulation and testing of new technology for fabric care products.
  • Assist in test method development for exploring new fabric care technology feasibility and performance.

Gain business insight by conducting research on industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.

  • Gain a practical understanding of applied experimental design for developing fabric care products.
  • Assist in the analysis, interpretation, and communication of technical information.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Analytical Chemists, Engineers, and Consumer Scientists.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled rising junior with at least two years of coursework completed, pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Ability and interest in working on-site, in a laboratory, in Princeton, NJ.
  • Strong Computer Literacy knowledge/familiarity with Microsoft Tools (Excel, Power BI) or related tools.
  • Knowledge and experience with basic laboratory techniques.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately record information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Action Oriented with Time Management capabilities.
  • Experience managing multiple timelines and priorities.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment, desire to learn and contribute to a growing company.
  • Candidates must have US work authorization (US Citizenship, Green Card Holder, Permanent Residency)
