We have an exciting opportunity for a paid internship within our Engineering Projects Team, where you will be able to gain valuable work experience in a global FMCG company.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an intern to join our Engineering department, based in Folkestone, Kent on a 12-month contract starting in summer 2023.

As the Engineering Projects & Facilities intern, you will work closely with the Engineering Manager to deliver capital investment projects across our UK operations, ensuring KPIs around safety, budgeting and delivery are met every time.

During the internship you will receive a tailored induction as well as regular feedback and reviews with your line manager.

The duties will be varied and will include:

  • Support in the Project Management process, from business case development through to planning, communication and implementation.

  • Work alongside the facilities team to establish a KPI tracking system for monitoring performance against activities.

  • Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing within the projects and facilities team

Who we are looking for

We welcome applications from current students looking to undertake an industry placement year and also graduates seeking their first Engineering Project Management opportunity.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an undergraduate/postgraduate ideally in Project Management, Engineering or a closely associated discipline.

  • Have a keen interest in Project Management

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and desire to continuously improve.

  • Have the ability to work as part of a team.

  • Be competent in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
