Church & Dwight is looking for an experienced social media content expert and leader with a deep knowledge of creative best practices both in emerging and well-established social channels, especially TikTok, but also Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, and emerging channels. If you are a creator follows the latest social trends, who’s an early adopter of new social media platforms, and has a proven track record of creating effective social videos and other content for organic and paid social media for influencers and brands, this role is for you!

The Social Media and Content Specialist will join Church & Dwight’s well-established in-house creative agency, Creative Services—a dynamic group of talented graphic designers, copywriters, videographers, and social media creators. We’re looking for someone who not only can collaborate with, and at times, lead other creators, but who can roll up their sleeves and work independently to write, produce, shoot, and edit breakthrough social content—on-time, on-brand, on-trend—whether they’re following a detailed creative brief, a vague suggestion, or their own unique idea that they “pitch” to one of our internal brand teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

● Be highly creative and able to conceptualize content that is meaningful, impactful and engaging to consumers

● Leverage your experience and knowledge of social media best practices and trends to create social content—from conceptualization to execution—that is on-trend, engaging, and follows brand, legal and regulatory guidelines

● Be a self-starter who can work independently or collaboratively with a team of creators and project managers

● Be a leader who can pitch executable ideas, and share your well-informed recommendations, to internal Brand teams, Project Leads, Digital Strategy and Ecommerce teams, and external Digital Agencies to capitalize on new opportunities and trends, and achieve engagement objectives

● Be a multi-tasker who’s comfortable jumping quickly to and from projects for a variety personal care and household brands, each with a unique voice and audience. Brand categories include personal care; laundry, pet care and dental care; DIY crafts and baking staples; beauty and hair care; vitamins and supplements; sexual health and fertility, and more

● Understand the major current social media channels—especially TikTok, but also Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook—and how to create optimized content that can bring a brand to life on that channel

● Know how to use data, research, experience, and intuition to understand a brand’s social audience in order to create content that promotes engagement, meets business goals, and fits the brand’s style and voice

● Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors’ content, new technology, emerging channels, and digital best practices

Minimum Qualifications:

● 5+ years of relevant experience creating brand-level social media content at an agency or on an internal creative team

● Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Social Media Marketing, Video Production, Art, Journalism, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field and/or equivalent experience

● Professional or personal experience with graphic design, copywriting, video production, video editing, and photography

● A portfolio that showcases your experience creating original, breakthrough social media content that gets engagement

● Relevant creative experience working with consumer goods, personal care, and household brands is a plus

● A belief that unique, engaging content is only for individuals—know how to help Brands break through on social while staying true to their core brand identity.

● Strong collaboration, communication, and leadership skills--be able to build productive, influential, and trustworthy working relationships with fellow creators, clients, partners, and cross-functional team members.

● Be innovative, forward-thinking, creative, generous, and open to new ideas—no matter where they come from!

● Be effective under pressure and able to meet multiple tight deadlines at once.

● Be flexible and adaptable to changes in a project’s direction, objectives, and due dates

● Be able to receive constructive creative feedback and make adjustments that reflect spoken and unspoken direction by project stakeholders

● Be willing to take on new challenges and opportunities for personal and professional growth.

● Be resourceful when faced with an unclear creative brief or inadequate direction, and know how to either create something from nothing or ask the right questions to get the information you need.

● Show exceptional judgment and attention to detail. You always double check for typos and errors before sending content to stakeholders for review.

● Be an energetic, optimistic, enthusiastic, strategic, creative self-starter who’s always eager to go the extra mile, roll up their sleeves and get things done!
