We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Driver on a permanent basis within our Logistics team based at our warehouse facility in Folkestone, Kent. 

The Warehouse Operative/Driver works within our warehousing team to support the operations of the Logistics department ensuring the correct handling, transportation and storage of goods in and goods out.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • To transport goods to and from various sites in a safe condition

  • To work with Logistics and production to ensure speedy turnaround of trailers

  • To ensure all equipment is maintained and kept in a legal condition

  • Filling in the Driver’s Daily Defect Sheets

  • To ensure all trailers and units are left in a safe area at all sites

  • To undertake any further movements as required

  • To dispatch components to production in a timely and correct manner, ensuring no downtime in production, taking note of safe handling and loading procedures.

  • Ensure that the issue of components is in line with the correct stock and batch rotation practice.

  • To handle and locate stock accurately in a timely manner, ensuring no damages during handling.

  • Stock taking within the warehouse

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Valid MHE licence for all equipment.

  • Valid and update driving and Class 1 HGV licence.

  • Valid forklift license – Counterbalance and VNA.

  • Experience of working in a Warehouse environment.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Organised and methodical approach. 

  • Ability to follow instructions and SOPs.

  • Computer literate with experience of SAP an advantage. 

This role works a 4 on, 4 off shift patterns of 12 hour shifts, alternating across the following shifts:

  • 6:30am – 6:30pm

  • 7:00am – 7pm

  • 8am – 8pm
