We are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative/Driver on a permanent basis within our Logistics team based at our warehouse facility in Folkestone, Kent.
The Warehouse Operative/Driver works within our warehousing team to support the operations of the Logistics department ensuring the correct handling, transportation and storage of goods in and goods out.
Key Responsibilities include:
To transport goods to and from various sites in a safe condition
To work with Logistics and production to ensure speedy turnaround of trailers
To ensure all equipment is maintained and kept in a legal condition
Filling in the Driver’s Daily Defect Sheets
To ensure all trailers and units are left in a safe area at all sites
To undertake any further movements as required
To dispatch components to production in a timely and correct manner, ensuring no downtime in production, taking note of safe handling and loading procedures.
Ensure that the issue of components is in line with the correct stock and batch rotation practice.
To handle and locate stock accurately in a timely manner, ensuring no damages during handling.
Stock taking within the warehouse
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Valid MHE licence for all equipment.
Valid and update driving and Class 1 HGV licence.
Valid forklift license – Counterbalance and VNA.
Experience of working in a Warehouse environment.
Good communication skills.
Organised and methodical approach.
Ability to follow instructions and SOPs.
Computer literate with experience of SAP an advantage.
This role works a 4 on, 4 off shift patterns of 12 hour shifts, alternating across the following shifts:
5:00am – 5pm
7:00am – 7pm
8:00am – 8pm
