Role Summary

We are a high growth company with power brands like Trojan, Arm & Hammer, First Response, Vitafusion, Batiste, and many more. About 15% of our total revenue today comes from digital commerce and we are looking for a nimble, curious, growth mindset leader that can further accelerate that. We have a cross functional team in place across sales and marketing that will be the core team for you to lead along with partners from IT, supply chain, finance etc that will help meet and beat digital growth objectives.

You will partner closely with our marketing and sales teams, digital and media agencies, and strategic third-party vendors to measure, optimize and scale the connected commerce growth. You will own the platforms and partnerships in service of connected commerce, advanced analytics, and future ready thinking across the digital ecosystem. Because you are the ‘bar-raiser’ you will also be responsible to provide broad based digital commerce education.

As the Head of Connected Commerce Acceleration you will report to the Chief Digital Growth Officer and lead a high performance cross functional team of specialists and cross functional subject matter experts. You are a respected industry leader with strong external relationships and track record of delivering innovative approaches and strategies to connected commerce growth

And here are some of the core job responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible digital commerce acceleration for Church and Dwight portfolio and for meeting sales and margin targets by developing and executing strategies and initiatives to drive traffic, conversion towards revenue and profitability goals
  • You will lead and manage eCommerce agencies, brokers and other partners to drive planning, budgeting, outcomes and impact that aligns with the category or brand requirements
  • You will be the change agent and introduce new channel, new commerce possibilities for our brands
  • You will drive collaboration with cross-functional teams including media, shopper marketing, field sales, insure alignment with content needs and plans
  • You will contribute towards increasing overall Church and Dwight cross functional teams ‘eCommerce and Digital IQ’ with latest trends and appropriately applying learnings, new ideas and pivots. You will lead with both structured and unstructured learning around connected commerce with newsletters, workshops etc.
  • You will lead negotiations and overall management of agency and 3rd party relationships to maximize value in the contracts towards eCommerce growth
  • You will influence cross functional teams that lead in house content and creative in service of connected commerce objectives,

This role is based at our office in Corporate Headquarters in Ewing, NJ.

Education and Experience || Skills and Competencies                                                     .

  • About 12 years eCommerce and digital growth experience working with major pure players, and omni channel retailers, direct to consumer etc. with good experience in building and scaling US eCommerce business.
  • About 5 plus years of team leadership and management
  • Working knowledge of Amazon, Walmart, Target, Instacart, Go Puff and other major retailer ecosystems with experience in P&L management. Preferred awareness of global retailers and platforms like Alibaba, JD, Douyin, Tesco etc.
  • Familiarity with areas around digital shelf, online market share measurement, price pack architecture, retail media, eCommerce content, eCommerce technology providers etc.
  • Highly skilled at investment prioritization, data driven decision making
  • Strong customer facing presence and negotiation experience at leadership level
  • Highly curious on all things eCommerce and customer, consumer experience. We seek energy, enthusiasm, willingness and ability to raise the bar; and influencing direct and cross functional teams to be in pursuit of growth
  • Exceptional project management experience with experience in managing multiple agency and 3rd party relationships
  • You have bias for action and always strive to test and learn new A/B scenarios, stay apprised of industry trends and best practices
  • You have a performance mindset driven approach and continually assess what’s working, what’s not working using data, analytics and storytelling to adjust, repackage, eliminate and accelerate content for our brands
  • You liaise well external parties, consulting firms, other CPG, industry leaders and digitally native companies - to keep an eye on ‘what good looks like’ across the sector
