Role Summary                                                          

The Marketing Associate, Communication and Research will support digital communications programs and market research projects. The Ideal candidate will have a firm grasp of consumer communications touch points, with a specific focus on social media, ability to help create and drive effective campaigns, and deliver on communications objectives as they relate to social media.

Core duties will include supporting all aspects of social media and influencer programs, and assistance in development of social campaign content based on the annual communication plan. This position will require a strong interest in social media, including content creation and exploring new platforms and tools within existing platforms. This role will consist of tactical, organizational, and some strategic responsibilities. Creative and analytical thinking will be essential for driving engaging consumer communications, enhancing brand image, and encouraging business growth.

Research responsibilities will include synthesizing and organizing information for use in various projects including messaging, product concept and competitive activity research.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                       

  • Strong knowledge of and comfort with multimedia asset creation including organic social media content, social/digital ads, and on-demand content creation
  • Strong knowledge of influencer marketing trends and ability to effectively support influencer marketing campaigns and incorporate content into brand-owned communications
  • Maintains day-to-day activities for social media, including assisting with content creation (such as on-demand content creation for stories and events), editorial calendar creation, social copy writing, post scheduling, monitoring, and engaging with consumers
  • Shares relevant brand resources (campaign overviews, editorial calendars, digital assets, etc.) with internal and external teams to maintain alignment
  • Helps analyze campaign performance across organic and paid social media to make informed decisions about future campaign efforts
  • Administrative tasks including ordering and shipping product, organizing assets for legal approval and research partners, scheduling meetings
  • Assist Sr. Manager Brand Equity with planning and execution of research projects

Operating Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities                                                       

  • Active user of main social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Snapchat, Twitter
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel, Social Media Platforms, Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Canva or similar design tool preferred, Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Passion for connection and engagement with consumers, and for creating brand loyalists
  • Solid analytical and creative skills to support effective social campaigns
  • Experience analyzing and summarizing research data for reports and presentations
  • Self-motivated, timely, reliable and responsive to project and task-based requests
    • Detail-oriented, with strong organization and asset management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Consumer of health, wellness, technology and beauty news and trends
    • Ability to excel in a cross-functional team environment
    • Determination to achieve excellent results

Education and Experience                                                          

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Strong interest in social media, marketing and research required
  • 2-3 years of professional experience (inclusive of internships) in social media and/or digital marketing preferred  

Required Training in Role

  • Social Media, Influencer, and Creative Seminars/Webinars to stay up-to-date on trends
  • Market Research Seminars/Webinars

Estimated pay:  $54,800  - $60,000  Annual Salary.
