The Brand Manager of Emerging Markets Innovation is a highly visible role within International Marketing that is responsible for uncovering consumer insights in emerging markets (Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, India, & Latin America), developing & testing concepts, and leading the commercialization process to ultimately launch these opportunities in market.

What you’ll do:

  • Insight Discovery:  Lead insight discovery in Emerging Markets, working with local Global Markets Group Sales & Marketing Teams and the Marketing Insights group to gain a deep understanding of consumer targets.
  • Pipeline Development
    • Identify, assess and champion new product growth opportunities, including developing a compelling innovation strategy and pipeline, conducting global category/competitive analysis to validate size of opportunities; consumer validation of innovation ideas; R&D validation of the technical pathways; Operations validation of the manufacturing strategy; Finance validation of Gross Margin
    • Align opportunities with International 3-Year Brand Strategies and Sales goals
    • Lead commercialization initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Stagegate Process:   Oversee a Stagegate process for Global Markets Group Innovation to promote project transparency, timely decision marketing, proper resource allocation, and alignment across Markets & Functions.

What you’ll need:

  • BA/BS required; MBA preferred
  • 5-8 years in Marketing/NPD (CPG, OTC, VMS, Cosmetics)
  • Prior innovation / new product development experience; Specific experience working in / with international markets preferred, but not required. 
  • Familiarity with common consumer marketing research tools and techniques
  • Great collaboration skills – especially with key partners in our New Product and Market Research groups
  • Experience with P&L analysis
  • International Travel ~10%
