Role Profile

The Human Resources internship will be project based and focused on various human resources initiatives in both the HR Service Center and the Total Rewards departments. The intern will have a dual reporting line to both the HR Service Delivery Manager and the Compensation Director.  This role will provide the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience in multiple HR specialties at a leading Consumer Products Goods (CPG) company and learn what it is like to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment. This will be a summer internship opportunity.   The location is remote based. The intern will work during eastern time zone hours.

Responsibilities Overview:

HR Service Delivery:

  • Collaborate with the AskHR Team to support the roll-out of new Workday case management technology
  • Assist with updating, coordinating and uploading knowledgebase content from the current site to the new application
  • Identify and curate image assets to create an appealing experience for the employee end user
  • Assist in the development of presentation decks customized for various audiences
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements

Compensation

  • Supporting the Compensation COE through core compensation activities, including survey participation, job evaluation, market benchmarking, assisting in plant compensation wage proposal development. As we are working through several key projects, a candidate who is detail oriented, excels at quickly pivoting focus across multiple initiatives and enjoys variety in their daily activities is a must.

  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in human resources or communications
  • Project management skillset demonstrated through classwork, prior jobs, school clubs or volunteering
  • Demonstrated initiative and a strong drive for results
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills as demonstrated through classwork, prior jobs, school clubs or volunteering
  • Must be creative and have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and detail orientation
  • Ability to learn and adapt in a dynamic and ambiguous environment
  • Strong technical skills including Office 365 including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Intermediate MS Excel proficiency

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Sophomore, Junior or Senior in college
  • Obtaining a bachelor’s degree in preferred majors such as Business or Human Resources,
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future work authorization or visa sponsorship
