Objective: Support the process team in the production area while following all company safety rules and regulations as it relates to the job.

Essential Functions/Responsibility:

Remove and separate empty pre-weighed drums from the work area, sending desired drums back to pre-weigh dental and the rest on drum truck for disposal. Maintain cleanliness of equipment such as weight scales and area around tanks by mopping floors; remove garbage and dispose in appropriate areas. Organize the tote area; maintain tote wash room in a clean and orderly fashion. Maintain the dental area clean and organized. Remove and replace totes from dental and Orajel lines. Provide the right product and approvals to the line leads. Provide Nair totes and approvals to line # 17. Maintain all Dental and Orajel lines with product Collect and weigh all purge buckets from all lines. Wash out pumps and help the mechanic to purge lines with a new product. Sign all paper work sheets for all the tote changes. Complete the WMS transactions. Other tasks as deemed necessary by management.  Participates in all job related safety training and personally complies with all safety policies and procedures. Will receive general orientation, job specific, and refresher training relative to the hazardous chemicals they may handle in the course of performing their jobs. Remove and provide flavor drums to the LPD. Perform washout to flavor LPD lines and provide purge samples to the laboratory. Purge LPD base line, in order to start line production. Will comply with all NJ laws and company policies /procedures while sampling, unloading, pre-weighing, transferring, and/or handling hazardous chemicals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

Must speak, read, and write English Must have a valid forklift drivers license or show past certification Demonstrate ability to palletize 50-100 lb bags and up to 500lb drums Basic math skills including calculations of weights and temperatures Basic use of Personal Computers and data entry skills Ability to communicate ideas and work issues Strong degree of accuracy and attention to detail Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently, without direct supervision Must demonstrate ability to follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and demonstrate a rigid adherence to environmental & safety regulatory requirements, monitoring, and documentation.

Education and Experience: 

High School diploma or GED certification required and a minimum of one year experience in a manufacturing/distribution work environment handling chemicals and/or gases.
