MRO Inventory Clerk - $21/hr - $2000 Sign On Bonus - Day Shift - Vancouver, WA

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced MRO Inventory Clerk position at our Vancouver, Washington manufacturing facility. This position has overall responsibility for maintenance inventories in a lean manufacturing and distribution environment and will support the Maintenance Department to ensure plant maintenance materials inventory requirements are met.

This opening will work an 8 hour shift during our regular business hours of 7am to 5pm Monday through Friday.

The base rate for this position is $21.00 per hour. 

Newly hired employees will receive our $2,000 sign on bonus in $1,000 increments after 6 months and 9 months completion of employment! 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Promote a safety culture and awareness within the plant and their area.

  • Support and adhere to all plant safety policies and procedures.

  • Maintain a clean work environment.

  • Oversee all parts inventory in the manufacturing facility.

  • Ensure incoming orders are accurate.

  • Receive materials ordered for maintenance projects and for storeroom stock replenishment.

  • Perform all inventory functions required by maintenance and financial guidelines as required by the plant.

  • Cycle count various assigned locations daily ensuring all locations are counted bi- annually.  Cycle count includes quantity, inventory documents, discrepancy investigations, and any other relevant information regarding the item.

  • Investigate and determine inventory discrepancies through various systems.  Report such findings to management.

  • Reconcile and adjust inventory discrepancies in SAP.

  • Perform cycle count on MRO material based upon discrepancies found.  Interpret information such as past history, work order status, and various other system investigating tools.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of MRO material receipts, inventory documents, RMA or material returns, work order and notification reconciliation, and other maintenance related documents that flow through the tool crib.

  • Answer any shortages or deficit issues along with disposition of remediation of MRO materials and work order requirements.

  • Determine obsolete components and material inventories with planner/MRO buyer and Maintenance Manager.

  • Issue materials to work orders.

  • Reverse issue of stock material returned to storeroom.

  • Locate stock and deliver items to their destination upon request. Stage materials for maintenance (this is either the storeroom or maintenance project).

  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of stockroom. 

  • Add new items into inventory (SAP System).

  • Mark stock items using identification tags.

  • Designate and store all inventory in an orderly fashion.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent and three (3) years of previous experience in inventory management or equivalent combination of experience and education that could likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.

  • Excellent communications skills - ability to communicate clearly and concisely in multiple media, verbal, written, etc.

  • Excellent organizational/time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to prioritize work assignments in a fast-paced, dynamic, production driven work environment.

  • Solid critical thinking skills and ability to create new, innovative ways to handle situations with a strong bias towards Continuous Improvement fundamentals.

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, etc.). Working knowledge of SAP and WMS a plus. Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc.

  • Strong knowledge of production operation, including equipment, materials, workflow, etc.

  • General knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and requirements.  

  • In-depth knowledge of inventory operations.

  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire as required; perform moderate physical activity including standing and walking for up to (12) hours per shift and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds; and perform work onsite in a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust.

  • Ability to maintain punctuality and predictable attendance.
