Role Summary                                                          

The Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for managing a team working to improve inventory accuracy/control, global SKU efficiency/inventory performance, and North American subsidiary supply chain performance.  They are responsible for driving business performance improvements through a team leadership and cross functional role.  The individual will make business decisions that balance service levels, inventory, and logistics costs.  The role is required to manage the team’s business processes, ability to achieve key performance indicators, and drive process improvements. The individual will work with internal groups to successfully implement supply chain initiatives and promote best practices within their team.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities   

  • Managing inventory accuracy/control with our systems, including the following:
    • Lead quarter close activities to ensure transactions are completed timely within our systems, in coordination with distribution centers, contract manufacturers, and corporate supply chain teams
    • Deliver accurate/timely month/quarter close reports to senior management
    • Manage Overdue Billing process - ensuring all SAP shipping and billing transactions are posted in a timely, complete and accurate manner by corporate and network personnel.
    • Manage all Contract Manufacturing shipments/receipts in SAP, including IT bot providing automation, researching/resolving discrepancies, and directing others to make corrections as needed
    • Manage supply chain coordination and activities related to:
      • QC/FDA hold and release situations
      • Shelf life/expiration reporting and related corrective actions
      • Ensure accuracy/alignment of expiry data on finished goods between systems
      • Conducting mock recall process; ensuring timely and accurate performance
      • Direct supply chain actions during an actual inventory control event.
  • Managing global SKU Efficiency and inventory performance, including the following:
    • Manage the slow moving and remnant (SMR) inventory process for the company (US and International subsidiaries) including reporting, analysis, and inventory disposition
    • Influence SBU leads and international leadership to drive improvements in SMR inventory levels and the inventory disposition process.
    • Mitigate working capital exposure by ensuring responsible and timely donation and destruction of SMR inventory.
  • Managing the North American supply chain performance, including the following:
    • Drive strategic supply chain planning initiatives between North American businesses to:
      • Achieve monthly and quarterly inventory targets by brand
      • Achieve case fill targets, determine root cause/corrective action, and provide updates to cross functional team members 
    • Lead effort with international marketing and US teams to align on new product introductions and limit write off exposure on product exits.
    • Execute strategic initiative to consolidate North American graphics to eliminate complexity and redundant working capital without impacting sales. 
    • Promote best practices to ensure planning process alignment amongst the North American planning organizations.
  • Build upon advanced knowledge and experience in SAP systems to identify and implement process improvements, responsible for leading communication sessions, project work, presentation, training, and implementation.
  • Collaborate cross functionally to drive projects to improve business performance and promote the use of best practices.  Develop and complete projects as defined by customer or senior management. Subject matter expert on projects. Prepare project documentation and flowcharts. Manage transition of project work to everyday business practice, project outcomes, and communicate results.
  • Effectively maintain strong relationships and communicate with cross functional teams.  Able to strategically influence others to act. Works well independently and as a team member.
  • Delegate appropriately to others and makes significant contributions to the formulation of planning and departmental strategies. Uses exception management techniques to prioritize the successful completion of critical tasks. Successfully demonstrate business discretion, problem solving, and creative thinking.

Education and Experience                                                          

  • BS/BA Degree Required – focus in Supply Chain preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience within the Supply Chain environment (working within planning, analytics, and systems)
  • APICS or another supply chain professional certification preferred

Skills and Competencies

  • The successful candidate needs to be well organized, able to handle multiple priorities, and high volume of data in a fast paced and team-oriented environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are required, both oral and written, and the ability to communicate effectively to all levels within organization
  • Strong analytical and MS Office skills required
  • Management experience, organizational influence, and problem solving
