Line Resource Operator - 7th Shift (Weds/Thurs 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm & Fri/Sat 11:00 pm - 11:00 am)

General Summary:

Operates as a fully participating and effective team member of a production line within the scope of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) required of this position.  Oversees the daily operation of the packaging line to include facilitating work assignments to the line team members. Produce quality products and complete all required paperwork and quality checks in a safe and efficient manner.  

Essential Functions/Responsibility: 
1. Work under minimum supervision
2. Communicate with Packaging Supervisor on line runs, changeovers, or any problems with the packaging line
3. Relieve all line personnel for their breaks
4. Ascertain that all line supplies are present
5. Perform all the daily basic safety checks and observations, quality checks, checklists, and housekeeping
6. Ensure that line personnel comply to safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE
7. Coordinate/Direct work activity
8. Verify Job Jacket and work order number against browser and ensure that all requirements outlined in specifications are followed
9. Accurately complete all required paperwork
10. Perform OSHA required forklift and hand jack checklists
11. Responsible for production reporting
12. Complete all WMS functions including Cristal reports
13. Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and adheres to all safety procedures as documented in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
14. Report safety hazards, quality and production issues to supervision immediately
15. Participates in all job related safety training
16. Complies with all Church & Dwight Co. Inc. policies and procedures and NJ laws

Non-Essential Responsibilities:
1. Perform other duties as assigned 
2. Train other operators as may be required, GMP’s SOP’s and JSA’s

Knowledge,  Skills and Abilities:  
1. Able to communicate, write and read English 
2. Teamwork -Ability to interact with employees at all levels 
3. Leadership skills
4. Experience with WMS or another warehouse management system is a plus
5. Attention to details
6. Computer literate 
7. Maintain good safety record

Educations and Experience:  
1. HS diploma or equivalent (GED) required 
2. Experience working in a packaging or manufacturing environment is preferred
