Job Title:                   Technical Service Manager Poultry

Department:              Arm & Hammer Food and Animal Production

Reports To:               Sales Manager, China Monogastric

Role Summary                                                          

Technical support and service to the poultry industry, especially broiler integrators, with identification of market potential opportunities for Arm & Hammer products in China monogastric.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities                                                        

  • Provide technical support and service for distributors, poultry integrators, key accounts in feed industry, and large-scale farms. Conduct internal and external customer training/education.
  • Event participation and presentation. Enhancing the recognition and reputation of Arm & Hammer in the poultry industry.
  • Develop and implement the field trial protocols. Field trial management, report writing and documentation maintenance. Publish and translate technical articles for delivering scientific solutions.
  • Product and program positioning, training. Maintain competitive product database and report as required (data analysis/interpretation). Provide technical support for new product/project development.
  • Service and support for the Certillus Microbial Terroir programme.
  • Field, log, and respond appropriately to technical inquiries from customers.  Provide technical assessments and assist customer with desired outcomes as appropriate. Coordinate the activities with the Account Manager for the region.
  • Provide technical interface with R&D, marketing, operations, and external entities.
  • Strategy and business development. Provide insight regarding potential poultry industry gaps and potential Arm & Hammer Food & Animal Production value propositions.
  • Extensive travel within China. Some international travels may be required.

Education and Experience                                                          

  • Ph.D. in Poultry Nutrition, DVM or Microbiology, with extensive experience in poultry production, especially broiler industry. Excellent applicants with Master degree and profound experience can also be considered.
  • Minimum of five years industry or university experience in research/technical support/poultry operation with primary expertise in poultry nutrition, production, management.
  • Previous microbial product development/research/technical support experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple product, technologies, or functional areas as well as R&D management or technical program management experience needed.
  • Proven track record of proactively accomplishing assigned goals and objectives.
  • Experience with data capture and reporting systems in poultry operations and statistical evaluation of these data sets.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with ability to deliver professional proposals to both internal management and customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic customer relationships.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, ability to multitask, and work in a self-directed manner.
  • Strong PC skills to include MS Office.
