National Account Manager

The National Account Manager sells directly to customers to deliver revenue, profit, and cost objectives. The National Account Manager is responsible to collaborate with C&D multi-functional resources to improve results with the customer in operations, marketing, e-commerce, buying and the supply chain. The National Account Manager is responsible for contributing to Joint Business Plans with the customer across all required functions and disciplines.   

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities  

  • Deliver annual sales, trade-spending, cost to serve and profit goals  

  • Ongoing collaboration with team/channel Functional Resources to deliver revenue and profit objectives 

  • Execution of DSMP’s to minimize marketplace conflict and deliver Brand objectives. 

  • Influences customer at required decision points and levels  

  • Drives personal business building relationships with key customer leaders across functions 

  • Responsible for overall financial management (Siebel, Trade Spend, Deductions, Slotting, SG&A) 

  • Development and delivery of a Category(s) Annual Plan which delivers Church and Dwight objectives 

  • Accountable to ensure the customer’s requirements are identified across functions as an input to the Channel Strategy Development process. 

Education and Experience                                                            

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

  • Must have a minimum 4-6 years of experience selling within CPG industry 

  • Must have minimum 3-5 year’s managing regional managers or national account managers (consider lessening years here) 

  • Experience managing broker network preferred (NBM only) 

  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Syndicated Data, Trade Promotion Management 

  • Position requires individual to have a thorough understanding of business financials and experience presenting to executive level personnel within their own company; and at top Retailers.
