Provide nutrition science guidance and expertise to dietary supplement projects and initiatives. This role works collaboratively with cross-functional partners to deliver scientific substantiation to support product claims and messaging across our portfolio.
Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Compile, critically analyze and synthesize data from peer-reviewed publications from online resources (i.e., PubMed, Medline).
Write scientific review papers and/or dossiers in support of relevant functional ingredients
Apply nutrition expertise to identify nutrition opportunities and guide strategic nutrition direction effectively to key internal stakeholders
Collaborate with product developers to make science-based recommendations on new ingredients and product propositions.
Drive a collaborative relationship with Marketing colleagues on product innovation and concept development.
Identify potential new product concepts and trending consumer health/nutrition benefits.
Attends cross-functional meetings to contribute to the development process; provides technical input; provides input to the status of deliverables and project timelines; reviews status of projects in portfolio.
Create, update, and maintain electronic claim substantiation files.
Education and Experience
The successful candidate will have a PhD degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition, Biochemistry, Biology, or related disciplines, with 0-3 years of nutrition research experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience with technical writing/publications is required.

Ability to effectively communicate technical subjects to non-technical audience.
Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Ability to handle complexity, multiple projects and requests, and short timelines.
Flexibility to work with counterparts at various levels of the organization.
Strong drive for results and ability to bring projects to completion.
Detail oriented, accurate and excellent record keeping skills.
Good judgement, decisiveness, and interpersonal skills.
Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
Experienced in using Microsoft Office.
