As a key member of the Sales Shopper team, this position provides the Mass channel VP and teams with key strategic insights, solutions and analytics required to execute sound business and category decisions. This individual provides insightful and prescriptive analysis of available resources including syndicated data, customer specific POS and shopper loyalty data, internal company data, category and shopper insights and industry studies across ALL categories.  They would work closely with the internal Category/Shopper Insights Sr. Managers across each of the SBUs.  They would also collaborate with internal marketing insights and brand teams, providing Mass channel insights to help formulate brand strategies.

The Mass Channel team is comprised of the Walmart and Target teams. This position reports to the VP of Mass Channel.

Responsibilities

Responsible for analyzing customer-specific information, including Retail Link, Nielsen and/or IRI syndicated data, internal company data, retailer shopper loyalty data (Luminate & 8451, Kroger data) to measure category and brand effectiveness and subsequently provide recommendations to profitably grow revenue and the CHD business portfolio across all SBUs

Works closely with the Mass Channel sales and Category management teams by providing analytical support:     

  • On-going category and competitive trend tracking and evaluation
  • Customer business planning support
  • Online /eComm shopper insights support for OMNI channel proposals
  • Category reviews – all to incorporate Shopper insights
  • Assortment optimization based on shopper insights
  • New distribution and space management suggestions supported by shopper
  • Monitor competitive activity across marketplace including eComm
  • Special projects and information requests as they arise

Work with Marketing Research to access any brand marketing shopper studies and incorporate into mass customer presentations    

Provides recommendations for future data resource needs

Develop strategic partnerships to influence category decisions with the customer.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university required.
  • 4+ years of experience in the CPG industry required.
  • 5+ years of analytic experience
  • Nielsen and/or IRI syndicated data experience is required.
  • Nielsen Advanced Analytical capabilities are a plus.
  • Experience with shopper card data and insights, or syndicated Household data required
  • Other data ie. 1010 or Numerator analysis a plus
  • POG software (like JDA) understanding and proficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership required to lead Sr. Business Managers and customer meetings
