Role Summary                                                          


Manager, Pricing Analytics will support the development of a best practice approach to maximizing profit / sales across the Church & Dwight portfolio through price analyses and recommendations that align with Brand strategies. 

The Pricing Analytics Manager will work internally across C&D functional groups to support the development of a sustainable model for Pricing Excellence.


Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities  

  • Conduct analysis and make recommendations on pricing strategies, considering market conditions, competitive environment, brand trade strategies, and future portfolio development mix.

  • Analyze industry dynamics, market forces and competitors’ pricing activities to evaluate potential implications for the company.  Determine optimal responses to competitors’ moves using an analytical framework and modeling.

  • Incorporate retailer go-to-market strategies (EDLP, Hi-Lo, Hybrid and E-commerce) to pricing recommendations

  • Scope of analysis and recommendations include (but not limited to) the following: Product list pricing & MSRP, price/size architecture, promotional activity (depth, frequency, type, etc.) and new product pricing

  • Develop and present pricing and promotional insights to brand and sales teams, incorporating elasticities, competitive interactions, thresholds, and promotional effectiveness

  • Co-lead research (conjoint analyses) on innovation and price / size architecture to identify optimal pricing / sizing to maximize sales and profit  

  • Update and deliver monthly pricing trackers / post-analysis of past recommendations; highlighting competitive activities and deviations to expected results

  • Partner with the Analytics Center of Excellence to develop pricing analytics tools and capabilities

  • Work collaboratively with Finance, Research, Sales and Marketing teams and proactively manage the needs of cross-functional constituents

  • Ad-hoc analyses as needed


Education and Experience                                                          

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Marketing, Finance or Accounting is required, MBA a plus.

  • Five (5) or more years of Consumer-Packaged Goods industry experience in business analytics, sales, category management, finance or sales strategy is preferred
