This highly visible position is in the Distribution Facility at our Harrisonville, MO location.
Starting rate of $16.57 / hr with growth opportunities up to $21.87 / hr
Shift differential of $1.00 for overnight shifts.
What you’ll do:
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts
- Open and close work orders in WMS at a changeover or when needed
- Assist with inventory management and physical inventories for packaging materials and finished goods
- Manage daily disposal and replenishment associated raw materials and waste removal
- Combine partials at end of production run
- Manage rework area and return product to lines for repackaging
- Responsible for accurate warehousing of Finished Goods inventory from production line under WMS direction
- Keeps work area clean and neat
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Un-jamming the palletizer (LOTO authorized)
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
What you’ll need:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Minimum one year of forklift operator/powered industrial truck experience while working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in warehousing, shipping or receiving.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organizational/time management skills
- Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to work for long periods of time, under pressure, to produce results
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic math skills
- Able to make changes and demonstrate ambiguity
