The Manager Tax Compliance will support the VP, Tax and have complete responsibility for all US Domestic Tax Compliance.  As a member of the Church & Dwight Tax Team, you will also assist the VP, Tax in mitigating tax risks, while focusing on adding value and maximizing opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with One Source tax compliance software and will be a leader in tax compliance with responsibilities for; the preparation of the US Consolidated Federal Income Tax Return, separate and combined/unitary state returns, Tax audits, and Sales & Use taxes.  The candidate will also be a self-starter, attentive to detail, collaborate with business stakeholders, and have the ability to leverage technology to improve processes.

Role Summary

Prepare and review of all domestic tax compliance and assist with quarterly/year-end income tax provision

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities  

  • Coordinate, review and assist in the preparation of the federal/state filings including estimated payments and extensions.
  • Assist in the preparation of the worldwide quarterly and year end income tax provisions under FAS 109, including FIN 48.
  • Reconciliation of the tax accrual accounts.
  • Prepare responses for federal/state audits, notices. (Corporate and Indirect Taxes)
  • Assist in the development of worldwide tax minimization strategies.
  • Provide advice to other departments and manufacturing plants with tax related issues.
  • Research Corporate Income tax and Indirect tax issues including keeping abreast of any new tax developments affecting the company and implementing the changes brought about by the new developments.
  • Oversee the Sales and Use Tax compliance function.
  • Oversee the Updating and loading of Financial Data into the compliance software.

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited institution in Accounting; Masters in Tax a plus
  • Minimum of 7-10 years corporate tax experience
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in SAP or Oracle Financial Systems (General ledger/ Tax Fixed Assets)
  • Experience in One Source compliance/provision Software programs
